If you have children and are planning to travel over the upcoming holidays, or you’re looking for the best portable bunk beds or camping bunk beds, I have a product that I have to tell you about! Allow me the opportunity to introduce you to Kid O Bunk, the bunk bed that’s perfect for families on the go!
Kid O Bunk is a 3-in-1 travel sleep solution for your kids. You can use it as a bunk bed, as two individual beds, and also as a sitting bench. Kid O Bunk bunk bed features a no-tool assembly, patented lock-in disc system and does not require a mattress. With no mid beam, the hygienic, machine-washable polyester sleeping deck conforms to the child’s body shape for contoured comfort, and is tough to prevent ripping or tearing. Equipped to handle any outdoor adventure, the steel frame adjusts to uneven ground with a weight tolerance of 200 pounds per single cot. The cots measure 65L x 32.5W x 32H in. and the sleeping area for each cot measures 62” L x 27.7″ W. Each bunk bed can support up to 200 pounds.
Kid-O-Bunk Setup
We recently had a Kid O Bunk delivered to our house to review. My kids were over the moon excited to try out the bunk beds! I handled setup all by myself and let me tell you, it was really pretty simple. I don’t consider myself to be someone of very much body strength, but assembling these beds wasn’t the least bit challenging. Each bed arrives in its own zippered travel bag and all of the pieces are neatly organized inside. I had both beds assembled and stacked as a bunk bed in about 10 minutes. Now that I’ve done it once, I’m sure I will get faster the next time around.
My Kids’ Review of the Kid-O-Bunk
My kids have slept in the bunk beds every night since I set them up. They beg me every day to let them sleep “one more night” in their new beds. They are obviously quite comfortable. I myself decided to try out the top bunk to see how it felt. I was surprised at just how comfortable it felt. There is no support bar under the bed like other cots on the market, so it just feels like you are sleeping on a hammock that doesn’t swing. Although I couldn’t completely extend my legs, I believe I could even sleep comfortably there at night since I usually bend my legs slightly when I sleep.
As I mentioned before, the Kid O Bunk can also be used as two single beds and also as a bench (as pictured below). Footpads and matching side organizers are also available for quick and neat storage of personal belongings.
The Kid O Bunk has so many great uses, like:
- Overnight trips at the grandparents
- Sleepovers
- Camping
- Extra beds at a hotel
- Daycare
- Sleeping arrangements in a small room
We really love the Kid O Bunk bunk bed! I know we will get a lot of use out of this bed over the years. They are the perfect travel and camping bunk beds! I can’t say enough great things about it! It’s portable, easy to assemble, and comfortable.

These are still the coolest! We've been talking about going camping forever and I think these would work with our youngest two kiddos. I think the the way it folds into a bench would be very useful!

If only I had grandkids. You don't need it at your house but it looks for the road!

This is such a great idea for families, especially if you camp or travel a lot! Whenever we stay in a hotel it can be hard to get a room with enough beds to sleep everyone in the family. This would solve the problem, and I know the kids would absolutely love it!

This would be convenient for our weekend trips to camp. We keep gaining grandchildren. They would be easy to store there.
