Twin City Grill Mall Of America {And Why You Need To Go!}

My family received a complimentary meal to facilitate this Twin City Grill Mall of America Review. All opinions are my own.

Do you ever struggle with wanting to go out to eat but feeling like there is nowhere “good” to go?  Honestly, we used to eat out more but have been feeling disappointed lately.  The quality, service, and atmosphere of restaurants has seemed to go downhill over the past few years.  We were really starting to lose hope.  But never fear.  I am excited to say that we found an amazing restaurant here in Minnesota.  So if you’ve never heard of Twin City Grill Mall of America, you’ve been missing out and I’ll tell you why!

Twin City Grill Mall Of America Atmosphere

Located on the first floor of the iconic Mall of America, the Twin City Grill offers a casual comfortable setting.  Adorning the walls, you’ll find interesting vintage landmark photos from around the Twin Cities.  And the architectural woodworking is both gorgeous and welcoming.  The plentifully stocked wine racks are set to highlight the classic decor of rich wood and cozy booths.

The relaxing environment paired with fun games on the kids menu kept our crew happily entertained while we waited for our food.

Amazing Food Made In House

The Twin City Grill is an American grill that features a variety of Minnesota comfort foods.  Almost all of their food (sans fries and the children’s chicken tenders) are made IN HOUSE!  Including their delectable desserts but more on those later!  Honestly, I thought on-site culinary creations was a lost art but Twin City Grill Mall of America has restored my faith.

The Menu

As mentioned, you’ll find THE best MN comfort foods on the Twin City Grill Mall of America menu.  From Northern Lakes Walleye Fish to Roasted Prime Rib of Beef.  Hickory Smoked baby Back Ribs and Prime Meatloaf.  Roasted Turkey Plate and sensational Burgers.  They have something for everyone’s taste preferences!  And the kids menu is loaded with choices too!

To start though, a basket of warm bread and butter is delivered to the table.  Soft and perfect, everyone devoured quite quickly.  So much so that I had to be satisfied with a close-up photo of the very last bite!

We ordered a variety of menu items including the walleye, burger, and (of course) chicken tenders.  One thing to note with the kids meals.  Included was a beverage, entree, side, and fruit!  I love that we didn’t have to choose between fries or fruit.  The kids get both!  So refreshing to not have that battle.

And to say that our food was AMAZING would be an understatement.  It was the best meal we’ve eaten out in a very long time.  Everything came hot and cooked to perfection.  There isn’t a single thing that I can complain about!  I was especially fond of my burger (pictured above) that came slathered in that delicious melted cheese!

Did You Say Dessert?

There are many delectable choices for this part of your meal and, from the looks of it, they will all be amazing.

We were so full at this point that we settled on sharing two desserts between the seven of us.  We went for the Chocolate Cake (I always go for the chocolate!) and the Brownie Sundae.  Both were VERY good choices!  The cake was so soft and moist and every layer had a lining of chocolate frosting connecting.  Perfect for my chocolate sweet tooth.  And those that enjoyed the Sundae were just as pleased!

Service

Nothing that can ruin a meal out quicker than bad service.  So I’m happy to report that every staff member we came into contact with was exceptionally polite and quick to tend to the needs of guests.  Menus were brought quickly.  Drinks soon followed.  Orders were taken efficiently.  The meals arrived and were delivered to the correct seats.  And dirty dishes were quickly taken out of the way.  To top it off, our waters were kept filled as well.  We found the service to be exceptional all around!

Specials

You’ll also find a variety of specials to entice a visit including our favorite, Toddler Tuesdays.  Families can enjoy one complimentary kids meal with the purchase of any adult entree.  So pack the kids up, visit Crayola Experience MOA, and then stop by for lunch or dinner.  Bar specials are also available Monday through Friday from 3-6pm.  And there’s even half-price wine Thursdays.  They really do cater to everyone!  We happened to be there on a Tuesday and it was a hopping place filled with families enjoying their lunch.

Final Thoughts

Honestly, we were thrilled with every aspect of Twin City Grill Mall of America from the moment we set foot in the door until the minute we left.  The entire experience was a joy.  And from the happy sounds all around, everyone else was having a great time too.  We saw families, couples, and even a business lunch happening and there were smiles all around.
