I absolutely loved being pregnant. Sure, the morning sickness, heartburn & constant bathroom breaks can get old, but there is something so special about knowing that a new life is growing inside me. It’s amazing how close I felt to my babies, even before they were born. I found myself talking to them nearly every day while I rubbed my growing belly. While I remember our many conversations fondly, I know my children will never remember them, that’s why when I saw this new video from Huggies Little Snugglers Diapers, I knew I had to share it with all of you. Check it out:
Don’t you just LOVE that idea of writing a letter or letters to your baby while they are still in utero?! What an awesome gift to give them later in life, at a graduation, wedding, or the birth of their first child. If we have a 5th baby (it’s something we’re considering), I’m going to purchase a journal and write a letter to the baby once a week throughout the pregnancy.
Although Gideon is 3 months earthside, I still remember my thoughts and emotions during pregnancy, so I decided it’s not too late to write him a letter how I imagine I would have written one 3 months ago.
I’m 40 weeks pregnant today and so eager to meet you little one! It’s been fun being on “Team Green” and not knowing whether you are a girl or a boy but I want SO badly to know now whether I have another son or daughter. Your dad and I have been discussing names a lot lately. We decided that if you’re a girl, your name will be Charlotte but we still don’t have a clue about a boy’s name. It’s such a hard decision that we put a lot of thought into. I hope you love the name we give you!
You’re about to join a busy family that’s full of so much love. You have 3 older siblings who are so excited to meet you! Maggie talks a lot about how much she will help to take care of you once you are here. Jacob is praying daily that you are a boy and will be able to “play fight” with him soon. Zellene can’t say much yet, but she is still clearly excited. I feel like she understands you are growing in my belly because she likes to kiss my bump and say “baby.” I think she will be a sweet big sister to you, even though you are only 19 months apart.
Your daddy and I are so eager to hold you and kiss your sweet face. We love you so very much already and can’t wait to welcome you into our arms, home, and heart!
Please come out soon!
