There’s one thing I learned about my husband early on – he likes to be prepared for an emergency our family might encounter.

When we first got married, I admit, I didn’t understand it and admittedly got frustrated when we had to pack all kinds of extra things with us when we took a road trip in case there was an emergency.

Then one day I realized the error of my ways. My husband wasn’t trying to force us into packing more stuff, he just loved me and wanted to make sure I was taken care of. It was like a lightbulb moment for me and I have loved him even more ever since!

Every item we own from Uncharted Supply Co has been high-quality and well-made, so when I heard that they had released a new first aid kit made specifically for dogs, I knew we needed to get one for our dog Liberty.

What Inspired the Wolf Pack Collar?

The Wolf Pack was inspired by the Uncharted Supply Co’s mascot, Barron – a 115 pound Swiss Mountain dog who lives for the trails. A few winters ago, Barron was hit by a ski while touring, so Christian Schauf, Uncharted’s founder, used an Uncharted Triage Kit to apply a makeshift tourniquet to Barron’s leg. At the vet an hour later, Christian’s duct tape, zip tie, blood-stopping contraption was credited for saving Barron’s life, and the idea for a dog-specific first aid kit emerged.

My Review of the Wolf Pack Collar from Uncharted Supply Co.

I’m very impressed with this first-aid collar for dogs from Uncharted Supply Co. They seem to have thought of everything you might possibly need if you encounter an emergency with your dog on your next adventure together.

As a bonus, many of those items would also be helpful to humans who have a medical emergency as well.

Like the other Uncharted items, this collar is very well made. It took me a moment to figure out how to open the Fidlock buckle, but once I did, I love it! It’s far superior to traditional buckles.

I really appreciate that Uncharted included a grab handle (this is especially helpful because Liberty often spots animals she’d like to chase and it’s a quick and easy way to remind her that she needs to stay with me).

I also love that there is a small holder for poop bags because, well, you know you are likely to need those at some point!

Overall I wasn’t able to find anything I didn’t like about this collar and would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes to get out there and be active with their dog(s). You never know when you might need emergency medical supplies!
