This Step2 was relatively easy to put together. The hardest part is the motorized train because you’ll need to push these plastic black screws into place. I did a few myself and then left the rest for my husband. You don’t need any tools though and should have it all assembled in just a few minutes.
Likewise, it’s also very easy to disassemble and put back into the box to store for the next year. We set ours up for a few days so my boys could check it out but we’ve boxed it back up and will wait until after Thanksgiving to get it out again.
My younger boys were absolutely delighted with this toy. They loved hanging the ornaments (again and again!) and watching the motorized train chug along. It’s the perfect mix of hands-on play, sensory fun, and holiday magic, all at just the right size for toddlers and preschoolers.
As a mom, I also appreciate how sturdy it is and that it’s made by Step2, a brand I already trust for durable, high-quality toys.
