The Little Virtues Collection: Award-Winning Children’s Books That Build Character

The Joys Of Life

Being a mom is one of my greatest joys in life. When I was young, I desired to raise a house full of kids. Anytime there was a baby in the room, you’d most likely find me nearby or holding it.

If you asked me how many children I wanted when I grew up, I always answered ‘a dozen’. What I naively didn’t realize back then was that raising kids can be tough!

You have a baby and they send you out the hospital door 1-3 days later expecting you know what to do. Thankfully, babies were my life so that stage didn’t phase me.

However, as my little ones have grown; we’ve run into our fair share of roadblocks. From sassy to messy and everything in between, we’ve spent a good portion of the last 18 years actively parenting.

My goal in life is to prepare my kids to become hard-working, well-adjusted, kind adults who have a heart for Jesus. But this world can be hard on kids and The Little Virtues book is here to help children process their emotions along the way.

The Little Virtues Compilation – A book to help kids develop morals and emotional resilience.

A book with a purpose, The Little Virtues Compilation was written by Rose Sprinkle and features five stories in one.

“My hope in writing The Little Virtues is that we can help kids build their character and emotional resilience so they’re best prepared to face life’s challenges. Virtues apply to everyone no matter their circumstance, and every child deserves the tools to live a healthy and productive life.”

What Are Virtues?

Virtues are admirable qualities we all strive for such as patience, love, honesty, and courage. While they are considered timeless and desirable for every person and child, they don’t always come easy!

Instilling values and virtues in children is very important because it could influence their integrity and morality, as well as their attitude and behavior towards life in general.

“Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking.” —Zig Ziglar

“The most important thing you’ll ever wear is your attitude.” —Jeff Moore

“A positive attitude is something everyone can work on, and everyone can learn how to employ it.” —Captain Jack Sparrow

Lessons For All Ages

Each story is filled with fun and relatable characters who help kids to easily empathize with them as they try to master these important principles.

The Little Virtues compilation does more than show emotional regulation tactics or tips, rather it shows a full story arc that helps kids understand the development of their feelings, and to know what they’re experiencing is normal.

These stories are loved by children, teens, and adults of all backgrounds. Teaching virtues is a great way to help develop character and that means there’s something for everyone to learn in this book.

Our Thoughts On The Little Virtues Collection

Kids are never too young to start learning virtues and building good character. This book features a compilation of five fun, easy-to-read, rhyming stories that our children enjoyed listening to.

Once I finished reading it to them, they reread it themselves again! They really liked the stories as well as vivid pictures to go along with it. As a matter of fact, our oldest plans to use it in an upcoming college project for her Early Childhood degree.

One thing to note: this book doesn’t lean towards a specific religion as it’s written to be more all-encompassing.

Awards Won By Little Virtues

These books are family-friendly and appropriate for all ages. Little Faith is a Mom’s Choice Awards Gold Recipient and is deemed to be among the best products for families. You can read more about that award here.

But that’s not all. Little Charity won 2022 Book of the Year from Creative Child Magazine. You can read more about that award here.
