Is it summer yet? It sure does not feel that way in Central Minnesota, but that isn’t stopping me from getting prepared for it. One of my favorite parts of summer is spending time outside. I love going to ALL of the local parades and visiting friends and family. Check out how I am getting ready for summer with the Summer 3Dlite+ Convenience Stroller. This lightweight stroller was gifted to me in exchange for my honest review. As always, all opinions are my own.
Get Up And Go
As you might have read in my previous post, we are a get-up and go type of family. I know that we are in for the shock of our lives once our baby is here. It is inevitable that he will add an unforeseeable amount of time to our daily routine, but we are welcoming the change. However, that doesn’t mean that we can’t try to cut corners with quick hacks to make getting out of the house a little easier, like by using our born free kova baby bouncer with traveling pouch or our new Summer 3Dlite+ Convenience Stroller. I just know this is going to be the perfect lightweight stroller for us to grab and go.
Summer 3Dlite+ Convenience Light Weight Stroller Review
Summer created this premium, everyday lightweight stroller. Based on the original best- selling 3Dlite stroller, named Best Umbrella Stroller by Wirecutter, the 3Dlite+ takes parent convenience and child comfort to the next level with added features and a more premium look and feel. This lightweight stroller has all the features you could want in an everyday, convenience, lightweight stroller.
Take It Anywhere
This lightweight and durable stroller is made with an all-aluminum frame making it durable, yet it still weighs only 14 pounds! It also has a carry strap and compact fold allowing for easy travel. The canopy is larger than most of your traditional convenient stroller canopies. Plus, the flip out sun visor provides extra protection while the peek-a-boo window allows you to easily view your little one. Featuring a one-hand multi-position recline, this stroller can easily recline the seat into multiple positions. The 5-point safety harness also easily adjusts to make the baby as comfortable as possible.
So Much Storage
This lightweight stroller comes with an extra-large storage basket, which is perfect for holding all of your essentials like my Freshly Picked Classic Diaper Bag. It comes will a removable cup holder for parents and a sippy cup pocket for your child. Which is easily accessible to allow them to help themselves to a drink. It also has a removable cell phone holder for parents and a zip-close storage pocket for a secure place to store your keys, snacks or other necessities.
Why Chose A Lightweight Stroller
We originally bought the Joovy Qool stroller when we found out that we were expecting. Although we will love this full-size stroller for our newborn, we have already realized that having a lightweight stroller is going to be a necessity for our busy lifestyle. We love to spend time with our Goddaughters. After many summers spend at the zoo with our oldest Goddaughter, we know that it is not practical or convenient to always haul the big, full-size stroller. Leading us to need a lightweight stroller at times. Choosing a stroller that’s right for your family often times hinges on the activities you’ll be planning.
Put Into Practice
This weekend when we were babysitting our younger Goddaughter, we had a chance to test out the Summer 3Dlite+ Convenience stroller. Make note that this lightweight stroller is for children ages 6 months up to 50 pounds. We will be able to use it with her this summer, but need to wait until next summer to use with our own son.
Convenience
The travel strap and lightweight design made it easy for me to carry both her and the stroller out of the house. This is a must for when I am watching her on my own, or my husband is busy carrier the million other things we wanted to pack, like our born free nisa playard. I can also open and close the stroller with one hand, while still carrying her. This did take some practice to do one-handed, but it wasn’t difficult once you are familiar with how it works. (Make sure you remove the canopy before trying to close it.) No need to set her on the dirty ground while trying to finagle my way into opening a larger stroller. It also fits nicely into the back of our vehicle without having to rearrange anything to accommodate this lightweight stroller.
Functionality
I know that our Goddaughter was safe while in the stroller because of the secure, 5-point harness. Which was easy to buckle/unbuckle and adjust to her exact size. There is also a window in the canopy so I was able to check in on her from time to time. The anti-shock front wheels provided her with a smoother ride. The reclining seat allowed us to let her ride comfortably after falling asleep. Overall, the stroller was easy to push and navigate. It is easy to fold and is a lightweight stroller and not difficult to carry when needed.
I think it’s a great stroller and I’m so excited to have it for our new baby!
