My husband has what we jokingly refer to as “problem feet.” He’s struggled with foot pain and finding correctly fitting footwear for as long as he can remember. Our Stride Soles Custom Orthotics Arrive!
We were really impressed with how quickly my husband’s Stride Soles showed up at our door! In fact, I think they may have arrived even faster than the estimated timeline we were originally provided. My first impression when we opened the package was just how lightweight they were. We could also clearly see and feel that these aren’t generic insoles. They have a very specific shape and form based on my husband’s individual foot scans and measurements.
Now the question was …. How would they actually feel inside his boots?
First Up – A Trim!
When we went to place the orthotics into my husband’s boots, we realized they needed a slight trim! (This is totally normal.) Stride purposefully errs on the side of caution with a slightly larger size when making orthotics so they won’t be too small. Because of this, they even have a video showing you how to correctly trim your 3d printed orthotics. It’s simple but you do need a good, sharp scissors to accomplish it well.
Our Thoughts On Stride Soles
The Stride Soles Custom Orthotics slipped pretty easily into my husband’s boots after just a little trimming. Because he already struggles with finding footwear that accommodates his feet comfortably, he was a little concerned that adding an orthotic might make his boots feel too cramped. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case.
My husband immediately noticed a positive difference when he started wearing his Stride insoles. He reports back that they are really comfortable! This was a super encouraging start because he’s tried plenty of different footwear solutions over the years. Most with less than stellar results right from the get-go. So seeing him react immediately positively was nice!
