 1:  What Is Storypod?

Storypod is a figurine-activated speaker for kids.  It’s lovingly called an interactive podcast player for kids because it allows interaction with podcast-quality audio in the form of stories, music, and learning topics.

2:  How Does Storypod Work?

Simply place the yarn figurines, called Crafties, on top of the Storypod speaker and voilà!   You’ll be transported to a fascinating world of immersive audio.  The Storypod is Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled (but purposely lacks a microphone for child-safe privacy). When a Craftie is placed on top for the first time, its content downloads directly onto Storypod so kids can play it anywhere offline, without Wi-Fi.

3:  What Are Crafties?

Crafties are adorable yarn figurines.  The official launch will include 20 Crafties, with notable characters like Rapunzel and Albert Einstein.   But the plan is to develop hundreds more in the future.  These little characters are about the size of an avocado and are even machine washable!  They feature a magnet and NFC chip inside.  So when placed on top of Storypod, they attach magnetically and play 60+ minutes worth of audio content.  Whether it’s music, knowledge, or a story, these Crafties take children on a journey full of adventure and fun.  And remember, it’s all SCREEN-FREE! 

4:  What Types Of Content Is Featured On Storypod?

I’m thrilled to share that Storypod features over 30 hours of content with an audio library of over 300 tracks.  Kids can enjoy fairy tales, bedtime stories, fables, nursery rhymes, lullabies, counting songs, and STEM topics.  Plus, there are both English and Spanish options!

5:  Who Would Enjoy Storypod?

Storypod was created with children ages 1-8 in mind.  However, children outside this age range can also enjoy everything Storypod offers.  So if you’re concerned about screen time overexposure in your family, this device is a great option!

9. When will Storypod Be Available?

Storypod is available for pre-order on the crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter, from June 30 until August 30, 2020.  Shipping to consumers is estimated to begin in Q4.
