Step2 Grill & Go BBQ Cart with Lights and Sounds Review

I’ve always loved being around children. Ever since I was little, I always said I wanted a dozen of my own. Why? Because kids are fun! Now that we have the entire gamut of ages, from baby to adult; it’s crazy to realize just how fast life does really go. While it’s super fun hanging with our adult children, there’s just something about the littles too. They are growing and learning in leaps and bounds. And I love to see how they mimic us. That just goes to show how important our actions are because they are always watching!

From ‘playing babies’ and ‘talking on the phone’ to ‘grilling’ and ‘driving their cars’, our little ones copy everything we do. So I love getting the toddlers new toys that encourage role playing. When Step2 offered to send out their new Grill & Go BBQ Cart with Lights and Sounds, I knew the kids would be happy to help me check it out.

Assembly:

This grill was actually super easy to assemble! The instructions were clear and my teenage son had it fully unboxed, pieces organized, and grill put together in less than 15 minutes.

Easy To Move: I love how this grill is sturdy, yet lightweight and easy to move. The integrated wheels and a push handle allow us to bring it indoors or out, as well as move anywhere the kids want to ‘grill’ and play.

Shaded Play: We absolutely ADORE the included umbrella! Not only does it add a fun splash of color, it helps provide some much needed shade from the sun on hot days.

As soon as the toddlers woke from their nap and saw their new grill, they shrieked with joy and ran to play. They LOVE the lights and sounds on the grill, which are auto activated every time the grill cover is lifted.

Over the past couple weeks, we’ve been having loads of fun with this set. And while some burgers, hotdogs, and s’mores are included along with some grilling tools; the kids have added to the fun by cooking some additional play food we already had at home too.

I’m always excited about encouraging screen-free imaginative play. So toys that bring joy while building social skills, fine motor skills, and creativity are always a great investment for me! Our family loves the new Step2 Grill & Go BBQ and I think you will too.
