Step2 Great Gourmet Kitchen Reviewed by Childcare Center

We recently received a Step2 Great Gourmet Kitchen for our Child Care Center to enjoy.  We decided on the perfect classroom for it and got right to putting it together. 

We pulled out our screwdriver and got busy reading directions!  As with any Step2 product, the instructions were very simple to follow. 

Their instructions are pictures labeled with numbers, but we didn’t have a problem following along!  It stated that we only needed one screwdriver, but we did need a small one along with our standard one.

The entire building process took 2 people about an hour to set it up from start to finish.  Once we figured out where each piece went and set it all up, we took it into the classroom. 

The children were beyond excited to play with their brand-new kitchen and all of the super cute accessories.  At our center, we have been through many, many kitchens, so our children have become experts at figuring all the gadgets and gizmos out! 

They had many features with this one that they enjoyed, but there were a few awesome features that they loved.  We have compiled some of the best features and listed them below.

What the Daycare Children Thought of the Kitchen Set

Once our children got to playing with the kitchen, we realized it was going to be a huge hit.  They have been enjoying it for a while now and still love it and even find new features that they didn’t notice before. 

They have played with and used the Step2 Great Gourmet Kitchen in so many different ways.  We love it and would suggest it to any child care center, in-home daycare center or simply your own home.

One of the best features….the mini K-cup Coffee Maker!  The kids LOVE this feature!

Our One Issue with the Step2 Great Gourmet Kitchen Set

We did have a small issue with the refrigerator door “sticking” and not closing properly.  I immediately contacted Step2 and they were very helpful in trying to resolve the issue. 

We have now resolved it with a few tricks (sandpaper) and are good to go!
