Sleepy Time with Wee Baby Stella

Bedtime is never an easy process in our household.  We are always trying to find something new for our routine that will make it a smoother process.  The Wee baby Stella Sleepy Time Scents set from The Manhattan Toy Company offers a potential new addition for better sleep.   The Wee baby Stella line is familiar to our daughter, as she received one of their dolls for her first birthday.  The dolls are all very soft and huggable, and have a magnetic pacifier (my favorite feature!). This Sleepy Time set, a slightly smaller (12” as opposed to 15”) doll also provides new features that we couldn’t wait to check out.

My 3 year old couldn’t wait to play with Stella!   She started with the magnetic bottle and pacifier; a big hit.  They make it very easy for little hands to play Mommy, feeding and soothing their baby.  Next we got out the teddy bear, which has an elastic strap for attaching to the baby’s wrist.  It keeps the teddy close by, but does slip off easily.   The pajamas are soft terrycloth, and easily removable using several Velcro patches.   She eventually got around to the storybook which was a tad disappointing, as it isn’t too rugged and has already started to tear apart. You might consider laminating it so it lasts longer.

Celessence Technology

The Celessence scent technology promises to release a “soft lavender scent.”   Celessence, according to Manhattan Toy Company, is “an innovative micro-encapsulation delivery system.”   I was worried the lavender would be overwhelming, but it is at a nice level.  A toddler hug releases a lovely smell, just enough to start a relaxing bedtime process.  I also noticed a stronger lavender aroma when my daughter removed the pajamas, but still pleasant.
