A friend of mine from church has seen me post about Quince on Facebook before and asked me a few months ago about the quality of the cashmere from Quince.
She’s been wanting more cashmere sweaters but we all know that cashmere tends to be very expensive. Quince cashmere, on the other hand, tends to be much more affordable.
Unfortunately for her, at the time I wasn’t able to attest to the quality of the cashmere from Quince, only some other products, until now.
I got my daughter, Zellene, a cashmere sweater for Christmas and now that she’s been wearing it for a few weeks, I’m ready to share my review.
Quince Cashmere Sweater Review

First a couple of key details about this cashmere sweater:
- It’s 100% Grade A Mongolian cashmere
- It’s washable (hand wash)
- It’s advertised to have a “soft hand feel”
Zellene loves a great sweater and she was SO excited about her new Quince cashmere sweater. This is the first cashmere sweater she’s owned, and she has told me that she loves it. She said it’s soft and not scratchy at all.
She wears this sweater ALL the time.
One mistake I made is that I forgot to mention to her that it needs to be handwashed. Because of that, it inadvertently went through a cycle in the washing machine. I did notice it before it went into the dryer though and made sure to air dry it.

She knows now to not put it in the hamper but to let me know when it needs cleaned so we can hand wash it.
The sweater does have some pilling at this point, but I’ve read that that’s pretty typical of cashmere, especially when someone has been wearing it a lot like Zellene.
Despite it’s trip through the washing machine and a lot of wear, it’s still in great shape. She wears this sweater often which makes me confident to now friends and family, YES, I do recommend Quince cashmere! I would definitely buy again.
This is the sweater my daughter has. They have cashmere sweaters for adults too.
This cashmere sweater currently checks all the boxes!
- It’s priced SO much cheaper than other cashmere sweaters. This one, for example, is priced at just $44.90 currently!
- It appears to be quality-made. She’s been wearing it for about 6 weeks now, and it’s held up great. She has a bit of room to grow in it so I expect her to be wearing it next year as well. If my thoughts about it should change in the future, I’ll come back and update.
- It’s sourced from Hircus goats in Inner Mongolia.
- Made with care in BSCI-certified factory ZheJiang, China and Cambodia. The amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) is an industry-driven movement that aims to monitor and assess workplace standards across the global supply chain
As a side note, I also got her a new lightweight coat from Quince and she loves it too.

It’s held up through lots of playing in the snow (we’ve had snow on the ground for the past 3 weeks!) and she said it’s nice and warm. We both love the pretty pink color too.
