PlasmaCar ~ Get Out & Ride {+ Giveaway}

I was sent a PlasmaCar to facilitate this review.  All opinions are my own.

Getting the kids outdoors can feel like a chore some days.  While we limit electronics so that’s not the issue, sometimes the kids just lay around and don’t know what to do with themselves.  So finding a variety of activities as well a having toy options for the outdoors has been a big help.  We have a wide age range with our five kids, from 2 to 12, so there are few toys that work for all.  However, we have found one that is a HUGE hit.  Have you heard of the PlasmaCar?

Available through PlaSmart Toys, the PlasmaCar gets rave reviews over and over again.  And because this ride-on can hold up to 220 pounds, they are truly fun for all ages.  I’ll be the first to admit that even I jump on and ride from time to time!

Quick Assembly

Assembly is fairly simple and quick.  Basically, the wheels and steering wheel just need to be attached.  So in just a few steps and in less than 10 minutes, the PlasmaCar is ready to roll.

How It Works

This innovative ride-on toy features no pedals, no gears, and no batteries.  Instead, it runs solely on the energy and inertia of the rider!  Featuring a sleek, aerodynamic design, the PlasmaCar can move and groove by simply turning the steering wheel back and forth in short movements.  With the right momentum, it can even go as fast as 6 mph.

Simple yet brilliant wheel design and placement!  The car is sturdy and quick and kids can easily control where they go.

Overall Thoughts

I love that this toy can be used indoors as well as out.  (Makes it perfect for long winters when kids are cooped up inside!)  We actually got our first PlasmaCar several years ago and it’s always a hit for kids of all ages.  We’ve ridden in the house as well as outside on tar and cement.  The car propels well on any smooth, flat surface and having two keeps the kids busy racing!
