High chairs have been my nemesis over the years. I feel like it can be really difficult to find a chair that will get you through all the stages — newborn to preschooler while also not being a monstrosity. But recently, I was introduced to the Peg Perego Siesta High Chair and I think I have finally found an all-around winner!

Peg Perego Siesta High Chair Review

The Siesta is a multifunctional, ultra-compact high chair that easily accommodates a child’s growth. It can be used from birth, while also transitioning throughout the ages and stages as baby grows. It’s designed to be a high chair that can be used for feeding, playing, and resting and I love the well thought out design and features.

Assembly

First off, assembly was a breeze because there really wasn’t much to do! (Thank you Peg Perego!) Upon unboxing, we just had to remove the protective packaging and then pop the castor wheels on. That’s it. Everything else was just unfolding and adjusting to the height we desired.

Use The Siesta High Chair With Your Newborn

When baby is a newborn, they should be placed in a reclined position and the Peg Perego Siesta can do just that. I love this feature you baby can still join the family at the table.

The back of this chair is easily adjustable to 5 different positions and, as mentioned above, can be laid back at an incline for even the youngest of users.

Table To Floor Use

The Siesta is designed to allow your child to sit with you, no matter what table you’re at with its height adjustability feature. This chair can adjust to nine different height positions, bringing kiddo to the height of your dinner table. Then, simply lower the seat to the lowest height position to convert from high chair to toddler seat.

Space Saving Design

Probably my biggest beef with many high chairs is that they are so bulky. Even though our dining room is actually a decent size, we are currently a family of 10 and don’t have much room to spare. So I love the fact that the Siesta legs collapse in and fold to a very manageable size when not in use. There’s even a spot for the tray to hook too. (Folded Measurements: 12.5″ x 23.75″ x 35″ Inches”, Unfolded Measurements: 29.75″ x 23.75″ x 41.50″ Inches”)

Moveable Caster Wheels (That Lock)

Moving from room to room is easier than ever with the mar-resistant, floor-friendly caster wheels. Plus, they also feature a stop and go lock system for safety to ensure piece of mind for parents. Simply press and slide to lock and unlock as needed.

Safety Harness + Adjustable Footrest

The Siesta features a 5 point safety harness but that’s not all. It also has a t-bar which offers a little added protection from baby slipping out when the tray is removed.

The footrest is also adjustable to three (angled) positions. This comes in handy, especially when using the seat at a recline.

Easy To Clean Design

Kids can be SO messy and it can be a struggle to get them cleaned up after mealtime. So I love how this chair is designed with a double-tray. The top tray is also dishwasher safe. Simply remove the top tray to clean and leave the second for the next meal.

Final Thoughts On The Peg Perego Siesta High Chair

All in all, we are really liking the Peg Perego Siesta High Chair. Made in Italy, it’s been a great addition to our space. While I’ve transitioned some of our kids out of the high chair around 2-3, Ruby is still needing the dedicated space this seat provides. I’m impressed with the easy maneuverability and the recline feature (as our foster son‘s birth mom is expecting so there’s always the possibility that another baby will be coming in the next couple months). With its sleek design and availability in many beautiful, saturated colors; the Siesta is a welcomed addition to any living or kitchen space.

I am so impressed that it can be used with babies and then convert to regular highchair use as they get older.

This looks like a great chair! I love how it folds for storage and that it comes mostly assembled. The trays look easy to clean, but the seat would probably get messy around here. haha!

This definitely sounds like the perfect highchair! I really like that it grows with your child, from baby to toddler. And it has way more handy features than any other highchair that I have used in the past.

this looks and sounds like a great investment. Something that you can use from this age to that age or size.
