Fun, Whimsical Play with the Ofie Mat from Little Bot Baby (Plus a Giveaway Too!)

When you’re raising little ones, play space is everything. It’s where they crawl, wiggle, build, and imagine. With a new baby just a few weeks away, I was so excited to try out the Ofie Mat from Little Bot!

What’s an Ofie Mat?

Ofie Mats are large foam mats that are the perfect spot for little ones to play. They’re made from safe, non-toxic materials, soft enough for babies but firm enough for toddlers and big kids to play comfortably. They’re also waterproof and easy to wipe clean too!

Why Ofie Mat?

The Ofie Mat is so practical! A few years ago we purchased a home with absolutely no carpet. It’s just wood or tiles floor everywhere, with a few area rugs I have added.

I love having hard floors because they are easier to clean but they aren’t the best for little kids who want to roll, crawl, and play on the floor. That’s why having a foam mat like the Ofie Mat is so important when my children are small.

These floor mats measure 6.5 ft x 4.5 ft and 0.6 inch thick. They are made from some of the best foam materials that are non-toxic and durable, They are also vacuum safe and can be rolled up for storage.

This is how big the mat is when rolled up. It comes with two elastic straps you’ll want to keep to secure it when rolled up.

I Chose The World of Eric Carle: Caterpillar Life + Country Road Nordic Pattern Ofie Mat

This play mat is all about fun! The design is inspired by the colorful, whimsical artwork of Eric Carle, author and illustrator of many childhood classics, including The Very Hungry Caterpillar. My son Matthias discovered The Very Hungry Caterpillar a few months ago and quickly fell in love

The bright Eric Carle images instantly grabbed my kids’ attention. It’s one of those mats that makes playtime feel even more special.

Another fun bonus? The mat is reversible! One side showcases the playful World of Eric Carle design, while the other side has a more simple, road print.

Initially they spent a few moments admiring the Very Hungry Caterpillar prints but then turned the mat over and started playing with their toys on the road. Initially they grabbed a few Hot Wheels cars and then they brought out our Playmobil Toddler/Preschool toys and set up a fun play scene with those.

Since the initial time we received the mat, my kids have gotten it out a few times to play with. When it’s not being used I roll it up for storage to help increase it’s lifespan (since we have a dog and 4 cats who might scratch it with their claws). I want to make sure it stays in great shape so we’ll have it when the new baby starts to play on the floor.

If you’re looking for a play mat that celebrates childhood whimsy while still being functional and family-friendly, the Little Bot Ofie Mat is a wonderful choice. They have quite a few different print options to choose from, so you’re sure to find one for your personal decor style.
