Our youngest bio child is now 3 years old. When I was pregnant with her, I fell in love with Kindred Bravely’s stylish maternity clothes and they quickly became some of my favorite maternity items.
But let’s back up. I’m a saver. It drives my husband crazy but I have plastic tubs filled with clothes, shoes, and gear that I’ve passed down through the kids. But with a 7 year age gap between Ruby and Lucy (not to mention the fact that we had thought we were most likely done having kids), it’s no surprise that I had gotten rid of pretty much everything. From baby gear to maternity clothes to the things Lucy and the boys had outgrown; about two years before we decided to try for baby number six, I purged the house. So when we found out we were expecting again, I needed to restock some basics. None of my old maternity clothes made it through the eradication.
So I hit up some local thrift stores but also purchased some new items. (I got really lucky and found some stylish pieces this pregnancy!) But what surprised me the most was how great the styles at Kindred Bravely are. The tent-style maternity clothes I wore with my first over 20 years ago are gone (THANK THE LORD! Those did nothing for a body besides make me look like an elephant. HA!)

Favorite Maternity Items For AFTER A Pregnancy!?
With all my previous pregnancies, once baby was born, I packed away anything and everything labeled ‘maternity or pregnancy’. From the giant pregnancy pillow to all my maternity clothes, they were placed in boxes and banished (until the next pregnancy). So to find myself still using some ‘maternity’ items AFTER Ruby was born this time was unusual for me. Now that I’m STILL using three years later, I wanted to share.
Kindred Bravely – For Pregnancy & Beyond

Kindred Bravely offers award-winning maternity, nursing, and beyond clothes that really stand out. Made by moms for moms. It’s truly a new era where us moms can live in comfort and style.
Everyday Maternity & Nursing T-shirt

Probably my number one must have from my list of favorite maternity items is this top! Now available in a two-pack (as well as single) option, you just can’t beat this top. It flows beautifully around a pregnant belly but also continues to look great after baby arrives.

This shirt is unbelievable soft and comfortable and quickly became my favorite while pregnant. I also brought it to the hospital for my ‘coming home’ shirt. As a mom who chose to breastfeed, I appreciate the breastfeeding-friendly design as this top has a roomy-but-flattering cut and side access for nursing and pumping.

Now that Ruby is 3 1/2 and hasn’t nursed in about a year, I’m happy to report that I’m STILL wearing these shirts! Nobody is the wiser that it can morph into a maternity or nursing shirt as the ingenius design allows it to look like the perfect every day tee that we all love. Everyday Lounge Jogger

I’m all about comfort these days. I actually just tried wearing a pair of jeans last week and by the end of the day, I was like ‘nope, that ain’t happening again any time soon.’ HA! Back to my trusty lounge joggers it is!
I actually own these jogging pants in a couple different colors. They are a Kindred fan favorite and once you own a pair, you’ll quickly see why. They are lightweight, stretchy, and super-soft.

The adjustable drawstring waistband makes these maternity and postpartum jogger pants ideal throughout an entire pregnancy and beyond. I appreciate how I was able to adjust to my personal comfort level when pregnant and how they still look and fit great years after baby. Plus, they have pockets, a mom must-have in my book, and a modern tapered cut (which means these lounge joggers pair just as well with sneakers as they do with slippers)!

You’ll find me wearing these joggers chasing after kids, running errands, around the house, and even as pajama bottoms. They are my go-to bottoms for cooler days because they are so versatile and comfortable. (Buy The Everyday Lounge Jogger: Amazon.com or KindredBravely.com)
Bamboo Maternity & Postpartum Lounge Short

Moms deserve a great pair of comfy shorts and these Bamboo Maternity & Postpartum Lounge Shorts are where it’s at! They are seriously my most favorite, ultimate in comfort, shorts.

These lounge shorts are lightweight and perfect for warm weather (or hot flashes!). Made of premium, breathable bamboo fabric, these shorts are soft, stretchy, and oh-so-comfy. Wear these maternity shorts under your bump while pregnant or at your waist postpartum.

I appreciate the simple design and pockets as well as the neutral black and blue color options. They look great with any top and I wear them everywhere! (Buy The Lounge Shorts: Amazon.com or KindredBravely.com)
Bamboo Maternity & Postpartum Hipster

When I’m pregnant, I’ve always preferred the underwear that go under my belly while still offering full coverage. So when I came across the Kindred Bravely Hipster Maternity Underwear, I had to give them a try.
Women at all stages of pregnancy and postpartum love the full-coverage design – no need to worry about uncomfortable wedgies or cheek peeks. — THANK YOU!
Lightweight and breathable, this seamless underwear is designed with a non-rolling, crossover waistband that sits just below your baby bump or postpartum tummy, and the super-soft, stretchy bamboo fabric conforms to your changing body. And that’s why I’m still wearing them years after baby! (Buy It: Amazon.com or KindredBravely.com)

My Final Thoughts On Kindred Bravely And My Favorite Maternity Items I’m Still Using
I find Kindred Bravely is generally considered worth the investment for their maternity and nursing wear, particularly their nursing bras, due to their comfort, quality, and ease of use. But because so many of their pieces can transition with mothers back into every day (non-pregnant) life after baby arrives, you just can’t go wrong. I’m a huge fan of many of their items and I think you will be too!

Additional Pregnancy/Maternity Items I Still Love
- My Nest Of Pillows: When pregnant, my husband would joke about my nest of pillows. Unfortunately for him, I STILL use all of them! HA! I love the ‘support’ of having a pillow against my back, another snuggled up to my belly, and sometimes even another for my legs. Anyone else!?
- Maternity Coat: I used to have a maternity coat that had a zip-on panel that would accommodate a growing belly. And once baby was born, just remove the panel and it becomes a regular coat! I LOVED this thing because it also doubled (tripled?) as a baby-wearing coat. Sadly, I lost the panel a couple years ago but I used this coat for many years!
- Vitamins: While vitamins are essential during pregnancy, I continue taking after baby is born too. First, because I’m breastfeeding. But after I’m done nursing, I continue with a daily women’s vitamin because it’s a good thing to do. Another thing I take after pregnancy is BioActive Nutrients Oregano Oil. The whole family takes it as a daily immune booster. (You can find it on Amazon.)

I used to work at a maternity store when I was in high school! That was the mid 90s. We sold lots of high end clothes but we had jeans too! These are SO much more stylish! I am especially impressed by the first shirt you profiled. Thanks so much for the recommendations!
