Mockingbird High Chair Review – THE High Chair This Mom Of 6+ LOVES!

Are you on the hunt for an amazing high chair? I have to say, it’s been a disheartening hunt over the years. I was starting to think that companies must not have prototypes they have ACTUAL PARENTS test out. WHY you ask? Because of the giant chasm that almost every high chair has between the child and the tray! Can you say disastrous food trap!?

As I was looking, once again, for a high chair that would FINALLY check all the boxes, I discovered Mockingbird had come out with a high chair. We love their original stroller so I was excited to partner with them and check out their high chair in person. I am confident my search has, at long last, ended once and for all. Assembly Process

The box arrived in perfect condition. We unboxed the pieces and made sure everything was accounted for. All the hardware and tools are included and the directions were easy to follow, so assembly was quite easy.

From start to finish, (unboxing to fully assembled), my husband spent about 25 minutes putting the Mockingbird High Chair together.

Initial Thoughts

Right away, I was super impressed with the Mockingbird High Chair. The quality is really great. I appreciate how this chair is lightweight enough to move easily where we need it. It works REALLY well for both our infant foster daughter as well as our toddler. And the fact that I can switch between the two modes in seconds means I’m able to easily use for both kids EVERY DAY!

• Clean, Classic Style: This high chair is absolutely GORGEOUS! The beautiful design fits with any decor.

• Compact Design With Smaller Footprint: I LOVE how the legs are designed for a more compact footprint. (So often, high chairs are designed with wide legs that people are constantly tripping over and stubbing toes on! But not here!) This chair does the job without getting in the way.

• Large (Enough) Tray: The tray is perfectly sized to allow for toys, children’s dishes, and necessities. Not too big and not too small.

• Easy To Clean Straps: When it comes to babies, we KNOW they’re messy. So why do most companies use material straps on their high chairs!? (I’ll never know!) Thankfully, the Mockingbird team used their smarts and have designed this chair with silicone-coated straps that are FULLY CLEANABLE! Not only do they wipe clean, they are even machine washable if that’s your preferred method.

• Easy To Use, Magnetic Buckle: The buckle is pretty neat. It’s fully magnetic and so easy to use. The fact that it clicks together so quickly, even when dealing with a squirmy baby is super helpful.

• Dishwasher Safe Tray Liner: The tray on this high chair actually has a liner that pops off for easier clean up. It allows me to take the mess to the sink and away from my toddler’s grasp. It’s also dishwasher safe, although I just quickly wash in the sink personally.

• Easy To Clean Design: The seat, tray, and overall design of this chair is great! It features smooth, curved shapes and the Mockingbird team has removed every crevice they could to help prevent ‘food traps’.

• Strap Holders: It’s truly the littlest of details that can matter the most and this is a perfect example. The seat-back strap holders are designed to keep the straps out of the way while you’re cleaning the seat (or putting your child into it!)

• Foot Rest: The kids can sit really well and have good posture, thanks to the foot rest placement.

• Transitions As Child Grows: The Mockingbird High Chair works great for babies but the ‘seat’ part is also easily removable for when your child becomes a toddler (or older)!

We’ve been using in both modes and are SUPER happy with performance no matter which mode we’re using!

Final Thoughts

I couldn’t love this chair more if I tried! It is SO handy. The tray glides easily. It’s designed to transform between infant use to toddler and older in just seconds. The overall design is appealing to the eye. NO more food trap between the tray and baby. And the best part? The KIDS love it too! Now I want to get two more so all three littles can each have their own!

When purchasing a high chair, I highly suggest you look at it as an investment. Finding one you actually LOVE will be worth it’s weight in gold. I kid you not when I say that I’ve been searching for 2 decades. (Hannah’s 20 already!). I’m confident I have FINALLY found one that I truly love! Even my husband, who rolled his eyes and exclaimed ‘ANOTHER HIGH CHAIR’ when this arrived, has agreed this is the high chair to have!
