I used JOHNSON’S® baby moisture wash with honey apple for my family as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #johnsonspartners #MoreForYou
I love summer and that’s an understatement. I live for summertime and despise the cold and snow that comes along with wintertime. This always leads to a slight depression whenever September rolls around and the temperatures start cooling off, knowing that fall is eminent and winter is just around the corner. For the past few years, we’ve scheduled our annual family vacation for September which has really helped me enjoy this time so much more and ease me into fall.
This year we vacationed in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. We actually JUST got home and it was a marvelous, refreshing time for all of us. Since school is back in session, the beaches and tourist areas were not too busy and the weather was just perfect. We spent our time exploring Plymouth, whale watching (we saw humpbacks — including a mama and baby– and a fin whale!), visiting the aquarium, playing putt putt golf, and of course, spending time at the beach.
My older two children have been to the beach before, but they were both so young that they really don’t remember it. They thoroughly enjoying combing the beach for seashells, rocks, and other treasures they found. Not only did be bring home a full container of the beach treasures they found, we also brought home some beach sand.
I decided I could hold onto this sand for a few months and eventually, quietly, toss it out, or we could do something fun with it and that’s when the idea hit me: we could make a sand scrub!
With autumn fast approaching I wanted a great fall scent. I also wanted to make it a scrub that the whole family could enjoy and found the perfect mixture with JOHNSON’S® baby moisture wash with honey apple.
Here’s my EASY Honey Apple Sand Scrub recipe:
- 3/4 cup sand (we used beach sand, but you can just grab a scoop from the sandbox if you don’t have that handy).
- 1/2 cup JOHNSON’S® baby baby moisture wash with honey apple
Use a spoon to mix it together and you’re ready to go. That’s it – told you it was easy! The JOHNSON’S® baby moisture wash with honey apple has such a light scent that is perfect for fall.
The kids were eager to help me make the Honey Apple Sand Scrub. My sand was a little moist still and the each child wanted to take his/her turn stirring it, so it bubbled up a little bit when we mixed it. Once mixed, Maggie and I use it to scrub all of the rough skin off of our feet, then followed up with JOHNSON’S® baby lotion with honey apple to leave them soft and moisturized. It was the perfect at-home spa experience! We’re looking forward to many more foot scrubbing sessions this fall!
Jacob was a little weary of rubbing the sand scrub on his feet but not wanting to be entirely left out, he insisted he have the opportunity to try JOHNSON’S® baby moisture wash with honey apple during his evening bath. Two thumbs up from this sweet guy!
