We used JOHNSON’S® for our little ones as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #johnsonspartners #SoMuchMore
Last week I flew to L.A., leaving behind my husband with our three young children. Next week I’ll fly out again to spend 4 days in Ohio with the Step2 Company. I’m not going to lie. It’s fun to get away and feel like an adult again, but it is hard to leave my family. I miss my husband and have a horrible time sleeping alone. I miss my kids and their messy good morning kisses and hugs. I run through those worst-case scenarios in my head–what if this plane goes down and I never see my kids again…..my youngest two probably wouldn’t even remember me!!! I know, I know. It’s silly and I probably shouldn’t worry about stuff like that when I’m going off to do something amazingly cool, like walking the red carpet at the Inside Out premiere, but I can’t help it. I’m a mom, so worry is my middle name. There’s one thing though that I don’t stress about, and that’s leaving my kids in the capable hands of my husband.
Orin had quite a few people say to him, what are you going to DO by yourself all of those days?! You know what, he does just as good of a job as I do and the kids love to be with him. They spent their days going to Chuck E Cheese’s, the park, having NERF battles, and just playing around our house, then I get fun pictures like the ones below throughout my trip, showing me all the great stuff they are doing together with Daddy:
Not only does Orin know how to find fun stuff to do with the kids, he knows how to make the everyday stuff, like bath time, fun too. He fills up the tub with JOHNSON’S® baby bubble bath and thanks to their extra gentle NO MORE TEARS® formula, everyone has a grand time splashing around without hurting their little eyes. Bubbles are especially fun right now for little Zellene!
With Father’s Day approaching, I’d like to encourage the moms out there who might be concerned about leaving their little ones in the hands of Daddy — just DO it! It’s good for you to have some you time, but it’s even better for your little one to have this extra special time with their Daddy. If you’re not comfortable leaving for a full day (or if Dad doesn’t feel quite ready for that) start slowly by letting him take over bath time or reading your little one their bedtime stories.
