I’ve been on the hunt for a better double stroller for our family for quite some time.  With 5 kids, a double stroller is one of those pieces of necessary baby gear in our house! I was recently given the opportunity to try the Joovy TwinGroove Ultralight with my family and today I’m thrilled to share with you my full review!

Heading out with multiple young children can be quite the challenge.  Whether spending the day at the park or taking a vacation, there are never enough hands on deck.  Last year, we headed for a visit to Disney World as well as a short cruise.  Without our double stroller, we would have been lost!  However, not all double strollers are equal.  Honestly, the one we took with us wasn’t that great.  It pushed terribly hard, had no storage, and no recline.  Spoiler alert – the Joovy TwinGroove Ultralight has been much better. It would have been a great stroller for us to have while traveling to Disney with young kids. Let me tell you all about the features I love on this double stroller.

Side-By-Side

While I feel that there is no one stroller perfect for every outing, I’ve found that our kids love the side-by-side double strollers.  The Joovy TwinGroove Ultralight allows both children to see without anything hindering their view.  So whether using for twins or not, I really like this feature.  I’m able to easily put children in or help them out without wiggling between a second seat.

Rain Or Shine, It’s Canopy Time

The two large UV canopies run independent from each other.  (Great for slightly older kids who have a preference as to where the canopy ends.)  I love that Joovy made these canopies bigger than the typical umbrella stroller as the coverage is awesome. Plus, each canopy features a peek-a-boo window so I can keep a close eye on the riders.

Nap Anyone?

Talking about independently operated features, each seat also offers independent reclining.  These adjustable seats allow for a near-flat recline with a padded head bunting which makes it perfect for a young baby or toddler.

The foot buffer even adjusts up and becomes a foot enclosure for extra security for the youngest of riders.

Cup Holders For Everyone!

The Joovy TwinGroove Ultralight offers plenty of storage for all those water bottles or snacks.  Not only does each seat feature a mesh pocket on each side (4 total!), there are three more cup holders on the back!  Each seat back has a mesh holder, perfect for a bottle or sippy cup, and then there’s the clip-on cup holder for the side.  NOTE: Because it swivels, I would not recommend an open style cup since it could spill.

Storage Is A Must

Most umbrella strollers come severely lacking in the storage department.  However, the TwinGroove Ultralight not only features the cup holders mentioned above, there is also a zippered pocket on the back of BOTH seats as well as storage baskets below! Our medium sized diaper bag fits in one of the baskets which leaves us the second basket to spare!

The Push

Thankfully, I’ve found that my pushing woes are now over too.  This side-by-side double features nice, large wheels with a dual swivel front and all-wheel suspension.  This makes for easy handling for me and a smother ride for my kiddos.

Just Fold & Go With Joovy

I don’t have much room to spare in the back of our vehicle so the compact fold is really great with the Joovy TwinGroove Ultralight.  Plus, performing the actual fold is almost effortless which is also huge for me!  (I’ve been that mom standing in the parking lot having to kick my stroller to get it to release and fold!  Talk about embarrassing.)  This stroller folds down in seconds and Joovy even designed it with a carry strap to boot!

While this feature may seem minute to some, I LOVE when companies incorporate a self lock on strollers.  (This means that once collapsed, the stroller will stay in the folded position without my having to manually lock it.)  So as soon as I drop this stroller down, it’s locked, and ready for me to grab and go!

With so many great features, I truly can’t think of anything that the Joovy TwinGroove Ultralight stroller lacks.  It has out-shown any umbrella side-by-side that I’ve ever used and my kiddos really like it too.

No need to lug this stroller around — just use the included stroller strap. At 26 lbs, the TwinGroove Ultralight is one of the lightest double strollers on the market.

I m in loveeee with this stroller. It folds up so compact for a double stroller. Fits my 3 years old and 5 month old great! Super durable and worth every penny. Absolutely love love love this stroller! Super light weight and the seats go all the way back for when they are sleeping! Plus the canopies cover the sun so well not like other strollers. Totally worth the price!

I recently bought this stroller to replace another double we had that was just too big and bulky. My one ye old and my almost three year old fit nicely in it. It turns well and is simple to fold up and carry. The only thing I wish was different is I wish the seats were a little deeper.

How old are your kiddos? Website says <50lbs. I’m hoping it will be fine for my 18lb 7 month old and my 41lb 5 year old. What do you think?

They were 5 and almost 3 at the time of this review. I found it to push just fine for us. Each seat can hold 50# so the total capacity is actually 100#. So I think you'd be just fine.

This is so nice. I wish I had one of these when my boys were little. I love how easy it is to use and how easy it is to push. Thank you so much for sharing this great stroller. God Bless
