One of the first things you’ll probably start researching when your second child (or a set of twins) is on the way is double strollers. It’s one of those necessary pieces of baby gear and choosing a stroller is a big deal! I can’t imagine not having a double stroller when I’m out with my kids. It makes things so much easier!
The first thing you’ll need to decide is whether you’d like a side-by-side double stroller or a tandem (one child in front of the other) stroller. Each has their own positive and negatives, and really I prefer to own 1 of each. I love a great tandem stroller (like the Joovy Too Qool, the Joovy Caboose Ultralight or the Joovy Caboose stroller) for trips to the outlets, since they give you easy mobility through narrow aisles, but I also love a great side-by-side for trips to the zoo, where both children want to make sure they get the full view of their surroundings. Today I want to take a few minutes to tell you all about the Joovy Scooter X2 Double Stroller. Check out my video review below:
As you can see, the Joovy Scooter X2 Double Stroller has a lot of great features! In case your internet connection is too slow to watch my video review, here are the details of this stroller (sourced from Joovy.com).
The Joovy ScooterX2 double stroller has a new stylish graphite grey frame and bigger wheels. The larger 7-inch front wheels and 9.5-inch rear wheels make it easier to maneuver than before. Its lightweight and narrow design allows the stroller to fit through any door while providing ample room for your kids.
The width of the stroller is 30 inches, so there’s no need to fold it to get inside a door. The wheels have sealed bearings so pushing two kids totaling 90 pounds is easier than you could imagine; and, the double front wheels make the stroller extremely stable. This is especially important if your kids climb in and out of the stroller by themselves. (We have included a removable bumper bar to eliminate this possibility too!) The basket is bigger than any stroller basket on the market, period. The canopy is bigger than any other stroller on the market, too. Each seat is fully adjustable, independent of the other, and each has its own in-seat mesh pocket and adjustable 5-point harness. You will love the one-hand recline system that locks into an infinite number of positions – all the way down to a near flat napping position. We have also included two cup holders for the parents and two zippered pockets for phones, wallets, snacks, etc. Folding takes just seconds with the one hand fold feature.
The Scooter X2 gives you the features you demand, the fashion you expect and the quality Joovy is known for – all at a reasonable price.
I always like to take my review strollers out for some real world testing, so we took this one to a local petting zoo. My kids seemed comfy and happy in this stroller. I had a little bit of trouble with the canopy until I realized I didn’t have it in place properly (so check that if it seems to be falling off). It was a really sunny day and we were so happy for such a large canopy that gave my baby girl plenty of shade. The storage basket is huge and provided plenty of room for all of our gear. It was nice to have the zippered pockets on the back – I used ours to store the pacifier for the baby. We took the stroller over gravel, grass, and even through some mud. It handled beautifully! There were narrow doorways that it was able to squeeze through without a problem.
Overall, I’m really happy with this stroller, especially the price. You will not find a better side-by-side stroller at this price point! It’s an affordable stroller that still packs in a lot of awesome features and looks amazing too. My kids (ages 11 months, 3 years, and 5 years) all rode in it comfortably. It gets two thumbs up from me!
Buy it: You can purchase the Joovy Scooter X2 on Joovy.com for $279.99. Or, you can find a retailer using the Store Locator. You can also purchase the Joovy Scooter X2 at Amazon.com, usually for less than $200!

Thank you for the review! I was wondering what the minimum age would be that you would use the stroller? I believe it says three months, but would you put a three month old in and feel comfortable? Also, how is it for sidewalks--handling bumps, uneven pavement, going over curbs?

I personally would put a 3 month old in this stroller, at a slight recline. I'd make sure to strap them in and make the straps tight enough to hold them well. I felt like it was great on the sidewalks and uneven payment I've taken it on. You'll have to tilt it from the back to get it up over curbs.

Can you attach an infant car seat to the stroller on one side?

Hi I was wondering is the red a bright color or darker red in person?

Hi Jessica,
I feel like the red you are seeing in the pictures is pretty true to the color of this stroller. I would call it a bright red. It is not the darker red color that it looks to be at Amazon.
