Over the past 2 years my kids have really started to use headphones, a LOT! We only had one pair and it got to the point where my kids were claiming days for their turn with the headphones.
Since adding in a few more Yoto Players to our home, I knew it was even more important to get us more headphones so I set out in search of headphones and ear-buds that would benefit my family the most. First stop was checking out what JLab had to offer.

Here’s my review of the 4 types of headphones and earbuds we tried.
JBuds Lux ANC Over-Ear Wireless Headphones Review
When my daughter, Maggie (age 15), saw these headphones in the box, she was quick to snatch them up for herself. They are definitely the most sophistocated JLab headphones that I’m reviewing.
What Maggie Loves About These Headphones:
The JBuds Lux ANC Over-Ear Headphones offer active noise cancellation that actually works, cutting through the background chaos at our home like a champ.
The sound quality is rich and clear, making them great for music, audiobooks, or watching shows on a tablet.
Maggie says they’re super comfortable, even after wearing them for an hour or more.
The sleek design looks high-end without the high price tag, although Maggie decided to personalize hers with some stickers. They come with a 2-year warranty too.
The battery life is impressive! She can go days without needing to recharge.

Downside?
She said there aren’t any, however I can see how some people might feel they’re a little large for on-the-go wear, but perfect for home use, work-from-home focus sessions, or plane rides.
They come in 4 colors plus a limited edition Travis Hunter collaboration color, however none of those colors are very feminine.

Rating:
Maggie gives them a 10/10.

GO Sport+ True Wireless Earbuds Review
I ordered these earbuds with my son, Jacob (age 13) in mind. He’s the mower in our family and has been wanting a good pair to wear while he works.
When he saw them in the box, even before I told him I ordered them for him, he snatched them up and said they were the ones he wanted. He uses them all the time!
Not only does he use them while mowing but he also used them when he walks to dog, jumps on the trampoline, builds with Lego, and so much more!

What Jacob Loves About These Earbuds:
- These earbuds are compact, comfy, and surprisingly powerful.
- Designed with a snug fit that doesn’t fall out, even while he’s playing outside.
- Water and sweat resistant, so they’re perfect for a boy who can work up a sweat very easily!
- The controls are intuitive so there’s no guessing how to pause or skip tracks.

What I Love About These Earbuds
They don’t break the bank (big win when you have multiple kids who will lose at least one earbud at some point).
Downsides?
They don’t have noise canceling, but Jacob hasn’t made a complaint about that.
Rating
Jacob rates these a 10/10 and hasn’t work headphones since he got these.

JBuddies POP 2-in-1 Wireless + Wired Kids Headphones: Family Favorite
These are the headphones I didn’t know we needed. The JBuddies POP can be used wirelessly or with a wire. They are perfect for tech transitions as kids grow or devices change.
For all 5 of my younger kids (ages 2 up to age 11) these have been the favorite headphones of the 4 that we tried from JLab.

Why we love them:
- Wireless mode makes them great for road trips, around the house, even outside at the swingset – no cords to fuss with.
- Wired mode saves battery or works when Bluetooth isn’t available.
- Fun colors and lightweight design that my 2, 5, 7, 9 and 11-year-olds all enjoy.
- Also includes the volume limiter like the Studio 2, so I don’t have to worry about them turning things up too loud.
Drawback:
My kids love these headphones and they have held up great. I haven’t been able to find any drawbacks.
