This time of the year is, by far, the busiest season of the year for me! Homeschooling started back up at the end of August and I rolled right into working on creating Holiday Gift Guides for the blog around the same time. Oh yeah, and we took a (much needed) week-long beach vacation in September as well.
I say all of that to say, I’ve been wanting to share this news for WEEKS and just have not had the time! Here’s hoping the new year brings a week or two of rest!
We adopted a puppy (who really is so big already you wouldn’t realize she’s a puppy!) in October. She’s a Saint Bernard and our family has just fallen in LOVE with her! She is the sweetest! She is doing really well with her housetraining and learning commands like sit and stay. She came to us with the name Liberty and it looks like, after much debate, we’ll probably be keeping that name.
Liberty also came to us with a lot of anxiety issues. She had ALWAYS been kept outside prior to use getting her. She’d never even walked on a leash. She was terrified of her collar and leash at first, riding in a vehicle, and walking up the 3 steps into our home. While she is now okay with leash walking and our outdoor steps, she is still terrified to go up or down long flights of stairs. She also seems to have separation anxiety and hates it when we have to leave her. Overall though, we are thrilled with her and the progress she’s been making. She is SO sweet with our kids, and we know, will be a wonderful family dog. She loves to lay around in whatever room we are in.
Our BIGGEST news and most exciting news, however, is that Aram is relinquishing his role as the youngest in our family this coming April! That’s right, baby number 6 (or number 7 counting my miscarriage) is due April 20th!
I’m in my second trimester now and finally over the exhaustion and nausea. Feeling better and more like myself these days. We waited until I was 12 weeks along to tell the kids. The fear after a miscarriage is real! They were SO excited when we told them, especially the girls who talk to me about the new baby on nearly a daily basis.
We are THRILLED to be blessed again with another sweet baby and can’t wait to meet our newest baby in 2020!
