The weather here has turned cold. I know that snow is just around the corner. That’s why I decided it was time to set up an indoor toddler playground with the Simplay3 Young Explorers Adventure Climber, an indoor playset (or outdoor playset if you want) that’s perfect for toddlers through elementary-aged kids.
Big thanks to Simplay3 for sending me this climber at no cost to facilitate this post.
About the Simplay3 Young Explorers Adventure Climber Indoor Playset
This colorful indoor playset combines traditional climb and slide play with an off-road vehicle theme where multiple children can play all day! Slide, climb, crawl and drive fun! Encourage active and imaginative play in this vehicle styled play center.
The playset is designed to fit through standard doorways so that it is easy to move from outside to inside as the weather changes, making it a truly versatile outdoor and indoor toddler playground.
Assembling the Simplay3 Young Explorers Adventure Climber Outdoor or Indoor Playset
You’ll want to allot about 30-45 minutes to assemble this indoor slide and climber. I was able to assemble most of it on my own but there are a few steps where having an extra hand really helps make the process easier. If you HAD to assemble it without help I think it can be done, it will just take you a little bit longer.
If you need help when it comes to assembling this toy, check the Simplay3 website where they have a video with assembly instructions.
Because this climber is narrow, it shouldn’t matter where you assemble it. You should be able to easily move it from room to room to wherever you want it. One thing to note is that it is rather long for one person to try to move on his/her own, so if you won’t have someone who can help you move it, it’s probably best to assemble wherever you plan to keep it.
Features of the Simplay3 Young Explorers Adventure Climber Outdoor or Indoor Playset
I’ve decided over the years that toddlers are like cats. They love to climb things. This climber is the perfect place for them to get out all of their excess energy and need to climb! There are holes to crawl through, steps to climb up, and a slide to slide down. And, while this set indoor playset is probably geared mostly towards toddlers and preschoolers, even my older kids have had fun playing on it as well!
Bright Colors, Fun Shape
Did you notice that this indoor playground is shaped like a truck? It makes me think of a Jeep really. My kids love that part of the design. There is even a steering wheel!
Sturdy, Solid Construction
This indoor playset weighs in at just over 50 pounds. It’s made of rotationally molded plastic which basically means it is tough and built to last through multiple children. As a mom of 5, this is one of those things I’m always looking for. I want something that’s going to hold up to lots of rough play.
Take It Out, Bring It In
Probably my favorite aspect of the design of this indoor playset is that it is narrow enough to fit through doorways (28.5 inches wide)! That means it is easy to take it inside for the cooler months and just as easy to then take it outside once the weather warms up! Keep in mind that since it weighs 50+ pounds and is about 70 inches long, you’ll find it easiest to move with 2 people.
We live in West Virginia and it’s already getting pretty chilly here. Some days my kids are just bursting with energy, so having a toy like this around where they can get out all of their excess energy indoors is so helpful!
If you’re looking for an outdoor playset that can also work as an indoor playset, look no further! The Simplay3 Young Explorers Adventure Climber is just what you’re looking for! Pair it with the Simplay3 Garden View Cottage for extra indoor/outdoor fun!
