Huffy CR8-R Electric Mini Bike Review – A County Kid’s Dream Ride

When we started looking for a fun, outdoor-friendly ride for our 13-year-old son Jacob, we knew we wanted something exciting but also safe, quiet, and easy to maintain. After some searching, we landed on the Huffy CR8-R Electric Mini Bike, and it’s been a total hit!

Assembly

I often try to do the assembly work myself, but since I’m currently very pregnant, I left this task to my husband to complete. He did it all on his own in about 45 minutes.

We were very happy to see that it came with the decals already in place. That’s always one of the things both of us hate placing the most!

First Impressions

Right out of the box, the CR8-R looked sleek and solid. It has that “cool factor” every teenager wants, but without the intimidating noise or fumes of a gas-powered mini bike. As soon as Jacob hopped on, he was grinning from ear to ear.

It’s also a big plus for keeping the peace with neighbors and for letting him ride early in the morning or later in the evening without disturbing anyone. I can’t say enough about how much I LOVE the quietness of this bike!

The bike charges easily and holds enough power for plenty of riding time—more than enough for Jacob’s typical play sessions. He’ll ride for a while, take a break, and hop back on later in the day without having to worry about running out of juice.
