How to Make Spider-Man Smoothies

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Dynacraft, however all opinions are my own.

My kids do not love vegetables; how about yours?  Knowing how nutritious they are, I wanted to make sure that my kids were still getting veggies every day, which is why years ago I started making fruit and vegetable smoothies for my kids. It’s amazing what you can mix into a smoothie that they will eat with gusto but would gag at the sight of it sitting on a dinner plate!

Recently I discovered that I can make a smoothie even MORE desirable by associating it with one of their favorite characters. For example, my boys both love Spider-Man, so lately we’ve been drinking Spider-Man smoothies around here and they just gobble them up! There are beets in this smoothie — beets! And my kids love it! Here’s how to make Spiderman Smoothies for your little Spiderman fan(s)!

Spiderman Smoothies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 small – medium sized beet (You can use raw or cooked. I prefer cooked because it makes the smoothie smoother.)
  • 1 pound of strawberries, hulled
  • 6 ounces (typically 1 container size) raspberries. I don’t bother taking the seeds out (I want my kids to get used to different textures of food) but if your children are picky about textures you could consider removing them.

Directions

  1. Directions for this are pretty simple! Simply blend all of the ingredients together until smooth.
  2. For a variation, you can add some chia seeds to the smoothie. They are great for added protein.

Speaking of Spiderman, our family recently had the opportunity to try out a Spider-Man 6V Little Quad from Dynacraft and my kids are having a great time with it, especially Jacob!

At a top speed of just 2.5 miles per hour, the Dynacraft Spider-Man 6V Little Quad is the perfect starter battery-powered ride on toy for toddlers or for indoor use! I love the features on this Little Quad, including:

  • 1 speed with easy push accelorator on the handle
  • 6 volt battery plus charger
  • Light-up handlebars
  • Tough ATV traction tires

It’s cold here in WV now, but this Little Quad is small enough and light enough that I’ve been letting my kids enjoy riding it through our house. Little Gideon is still intimidated of this big toy that moves, but the other 3 kids have been enamored with it! Although it’s recommended for children ages 18 months to 3 years, Jacob and Maggie are right at the weight limit and still fit on it quite comfortably. So, while I wouldn’t recommend it as a purchase for a 5 year old, rest assured that if you’re purchasing it for you 18 month old, he will probably get a lot of use out of it!

If used indoors, the Little Quad works best on carpet. Most of our home has wood flooring and my kids have learned that if they give it a little push off with their feet, that helps it to get traction on the wood, and then it’s good to go. Having wood floors has not deterred them from using it one bit. They love this Little Quad!

When used outdoors, it’s done great on our sidewalk and also in the grass. The description says it has a run time of 45 minutes. I haven’t time it myself but I can tell you that my kids ride it a LOT before it needs charged again. I’m really impressed with the battery life on it.

You can purchases the Spider-Man 6V Little Quad directly from Dynacraft. It retails for just $79.99!

My kids love smoothies! I need to start making them with chia since I struggle getting protein in them. Love that little ride on..... I especially like that its small enough for use inside!
