HEAD Summit USA Table Tennis Review

This year has been so strange….for everyone. Even with the uncertainty, we pushed ahead with some exciting plans: an addition to our home! Previously, we had an okay amount of square footage, but after some renovations last year, we were down to two bedrooms. This made for tight living quarters for a family of seven. Our boys moved down to the basement for awhile but we knew that was a temporary fix. Come Spring, we broke ground to add on. In retrospect, we are so thankful we did as building supplies are getting harder to come by and prices are now going up!

Anyway, our home is now complete. We added on a game room, large bedroom for two of our boys, small room for Lucy, and a master suite for my husband and I. It has been AMAZING! We have space. We have privacy. I FINALLY have my very own bathroom! (Although the kids do tend to take as many baths as I do in there…lol) But no worries, we are super excited with the results and are now to the stage of filling our space!

A Family Gift Idea

So as we began thinking ahead to the upcoming holidays, we decided we want to focus on spending time as a family. As we brainstormed gift ideas, activities we could do, and our goals; we decided that completing our game room was a priority. Kids grow so fast. Before we know it, they’ll be moving out! So the time we have with them is precious and fleeting. That’s why, we decided that adding a HEAD Summit USA Table Tennis Game to our space was a great idea.

Table Tennis Is A Great Choice Because:

Our game room is a nice size so we knew we’d have space for a couple different game tables. However, we settled on Table Tennis as one of our top game choices for several reasons.

1) Can Be Played Indoors

We’ll just cut to the chase right away. We live in Minnesota which is the land of three seasons: Winter, Mud, and Mosquitos. So we wanted a game that would be fun to play indoors and Ping Pong fit that label.

Playing table tennis requires everyone to get up and off the couch. It’s a sport that combines energy and pure fun. There is no slouching around when in the midst of a game as that ball is coming your way FAST!

3) Boosts Skills

Not only does playing table tennis boost your dexterity and develop quick reflexes, it’s also beneficial to your mental health. There’s a local business who actually purchased a Table Tennis Game for their staff lounge because of the mental benefits!

4) It’s All Inclusive

Table tennis is a game that can be played, and enjoyed, by all. Young or old, weak or strong, there are very few limitations to who would be unable to join in. Everyone from your youngest sibling or cousin to grandma and grandpa can take part in the fun! It’s one of the rare games that brings everyone together. Even being a spectator is fun!

5) Memory Maker

If you need more convincing that playing ping pong with family and friends is a great idea, search for the episode of Friends where Monica and Mike play. It’s hilarious! An ideal game involves lots of laughter and cheers so bring along a good attitude and you’re sure to have a blast. HEAD Summit USA Table Tennis Review

Once we settled on the game tables we wanted, we began hunting for the best choices. Our research kept bringing us back to the HEAD Summit Table Tennis Game. Here’s why:

Easy Assembly

I’ve heard that many tables can take a lot of time and effort to assemble. We are in the middle of Fall field work here on the farm and just don’t have time for that! (Because really, who does?!) The HEAD Summit USA Table took about 15 minutes from the time it was unboxed until it was ready for play! We basically had to attach the wheels to the legs and that’s about it! It was the easiest assembly EVER!

High Quality

This table is HEAVY, weighing in at over 200 pounds! When the men unloaded it from the delivery truck, they struggled. However, we did carry it in ourselves with the help of the kids. So while the box is a little hard to manage and I suggest you have help, I’m thrilled at the quality of what’s inside. We immediately noticed the stability and longevity, yet it folds up to a footprint as small as 23.5″ by 60″. Plus, the wheels make moving it around (when needed), easy.

The 3/4 inch (18mm) seamless table surface yields a consistent bounce during play, while the included competition grade net and post set comes with easy clamp attachments and provides high tension.

Can Be Played By One Person

One of the biggest features we wanted in a Ping Pong Table was the ability to be able to practice and ‘play’ by yourself. We wanted the kids to have this option for the times when nobody else is available for a game or when they wanted to brush up on skills. This set halves easily and folds for single player practice and also nests together for storage and portable rolling.

Paddle And Ball Holders Feature

While this may seem small in the eyes of many, my kids are thrilled that this table features a place to hold their paddles and balls.

Overall, the HEAD Summit Table Tennis game is awesome.  Measuring in at regulation size (9 feet L x 5 feet W x 30 inches H), it's ideal for players of all skill levels and is a great addition to any family playing area, basement, garage, rec room, or man cave.  This table tennis table is truly built to last.  Kids and adults will enjoy playing together for hours at a time!
