Hauck Torro Stroller

Sharing is caring!

When the Hauck Torro arrived, I couldn’t wait to get it out of the box and put together.  Assembly of the Hauck Torro was very easy. I put it together myself in under 5 minutes. Basically you just need to pop the wheels, front bar, and cup holder onto the main frame.

Once the stroller was assembled, I stepped back to marvel at its beauty…and let me tell you, it truly IS a beauty! This stroller has a sleek, solid aluminum frame. This frame makes it look amazing while also keeping it light. Believe it or not, this stroller weighs just 16 pounds.

My favorite feature of the Hauck Torro is the oversize canopy top. Many of you know that we recently returned home from vacationing at Disney in Orlando, Florida. My biggest complaint about the stroller that we took with us was that the canopy was FAR too small. The Hauck Torro was waiting for me when I arrived home and, after it was assembled, the first thing I thought about was how perfect it would be for a trip to Disney, the beach, or anywhere you will spend large amounts of time in the sun. We all want to spend time outside in the summer, but no one wants their child to end up with a sunburn. The oversize canopy on the Hauck Torro is just what you need when you’re ready for some fun in the sun!

Living in West Virginia, we need that canopy for the sunny summer days, but the Torro also came with a boot cover that is perfect for the cold winter months we endure. It’s easy to get on/off and small enough to store in the basket.

Speaking of the basket, while it’s not the largest basket I’ve ever seen, it has ample room for a day trip.

You’ll love the ergonomic handles on the Torro. This stroller is so enjoyable to push.  I’ve pushed other umbrellas strollers that left my back aching. That is not a problem with the Torro.

The stroller features a cup holder that is easily attached/detached. The airline broke the cup holders that we left attached to the stroller we took to Disney. From now on, I will always remove cup holders from our strollers before traveling, to avoid that happening again.

With the Torro, your child has 4 different recline positions. You can adjust the recline with one hand using an easy button at the back. Just squeeze, then raise or lower to the desired position. The recline, combined with the oversize canopy, will provide your sleeping baby with much-needed shade when you are out and about this summer.

Other features of the Torro include a removable (with the push of a button) front bar, a 5-point safety harness, an adjustable footrest, and a pocket on the back.

The wheels of the Torro are also adjustable to suit your needs. The back wheels lock (or unlock) with just one quick motion of the foot. The front wheels can be locked into place, or unlocked for 360 degree rotation.

The Hauck Torro collapses pretty small to make it very easy to transport. When you’re going on vacation or headed to the beach for the day, you’re already packing a lot of other items, so a stroller that doesn’t take up much room is a huge plus!

In conclusion, I want to say that I am in LOVE with this stroller. It handles very well and the features are great. When measuring this stroller against my list of things I wanted out of our Disney stroller, if you take out the fact that I need a double stroller for my two kids, this stroller would be THE ONE. It is perfect for travel and I highly recommend it. I am really hoping Hauck will take this stroller and turn it into a double model because I want one!

Yes, I even had my son test it out. He likes it too, even if it is pink!

When my daughter and I go out on shopping dates at the outlets, we’ll be taking our Hauck for sure!

Can you remove the seat cover to wash it? Thanks in advance

I'm not sure. I actually donated this stroller to a family in need a few months ago so I can't check. I never tried to take it off to clean, but normally if I do need to clean a stroller seat, I hose it off and scrub it outside. Hope that helps!

We literally just received ours this morning and it rocks! I had to check your review for how to recline since of course the manual is at home and we're out and about. I can't believe how far it reclines---- and the handles are dreamy!!

Hi there, I have a question re the Hauck Stroller. It is hard to judge by looking at photos but how upright does the seat go...let us say vs a Maclaren that goes pretty straight. My daighter likes to sit upright and I am having a hard time finding the right stroller...

Many thanks

Hi Juliette,

I'm sorry I'm just now seeing this. It does not go completely upright, but it does go pretty close to upright. We have a Maclaren double stroller and I'd say that they incline is about the same for them. Hope that helps!

I love everything I've heard about this stroller, but wondering how it would be on gravel paths or uneven surfaces? Nothing too extreme, but not if we hit something that was not paved. Thanks!

Hmm, I'm not sure. I think it would do well on gravel. I actually don't own the stroller anymore. I loved it but, as you can imagine, since I review baby gear for a living I just can't keep them all. I gave mine away to a family who adopted a special needs child from China. I will ask if they've used it on gravel.
