Graco Soothing System Glider Review

Even though my youngest is now two years old, I still love looking at baby products because they are always coming up with something new. So many of my friends and family are part of growing families and I love checking out all the latest in the baby trends.

And who doesn’t love bringing the coolest gift to the baby shower? One of the growing trends I have started to see often is the idea of making many of the baby products compact as well as multipurpose. With the Graco Soothing System Glider, you get both!

One of the things I love most about Graco is that their products are not only about safety and practicality, they are also about style. With so many stylish and handsome fabrics and patterns, I have really come to appreciate the way that their products can make me feel like a trendy Mom, without breaking my budget.

When the box arrived, I was surprised it wasn’t bigger. After all – there’s a baby glider (swing), bouncy seat, and a bassinet in there!

As I began to take the pieces out I was worried it was going to be quite the process putting it all together. As I got to work setting up this new system, I realized most of the construction came down to the glider base. Once that was complete, everything else was a snap.

Though it took several steps, Graco supplies and easy- to- follow instruction pamphlet with pictures that make it easy to follow and put together (you can do it Moms!). It took me far less time to put together this system than it would for me to put together four separate baby items and for quite a bit cheaper than it would cost me to buy each item separately as well.

I wish the frame would have been a little bit “heavier” like so many of the other Graco products I have enjoyed, but that does not take away from the sturdiness and safety of this product. It also makes it easier for us Mom’s to move it from room to room!

Living in a townhouse myself, one of the things I love most about this system is that it truly is a space saver. Don’t get me wrong, I love everything that comes with being a parent (says the Mom with 4 kids), but I love sitting down in my living room at night when everyone is finally sound asleep and being able to look around at my living room, NOT filled with every baby item known to man.

With this system I can still have my space and have the essential baby items I need to make my life a little easier.

How many of you parents have ever had your baby fall asleep in the car, or wake up to that blessed morning when your baby is still sleeping?

The initial rejoicing soon gives way to the fear of waking them up as you so very gently attempt to lift them from their car seat to their crib, or move them from the bouncer in your bedroom downstairs to their glider or swing while you get the dishes cleaned.

Though I’m still waiting on a product to solve that car seat to crib problem, Graco has definitely solved the problem of moving your sleeping angel from one room to the next. baby still sleeping in the bassinet in the morning?

You can pick the bassinet up and place it right into the swing. baby fell asleep in the bouncer while you finally got a shower? You can also move the bouncer and place it right into the glider base.

Without a doubt, the ability to “move” baby from the bouncer/bassinet to the glider without actually having to “move” the baby is what I adore about this set!

My children loved being rocked almost as much as I loved rocking them. The Graco Soothing Systems Glider allows your baby to feel that same motion, even when you can’t be the one to do the rocking.

The system comes with an option to plug it in or use batteries which makes it not only versatile but also keeps you from running to the store in desperate need of batteries. At the same time you have the comfort of knowing that if you do need to utilize the system in a location that doesn’t have the ability to plug in – the battery option is always available as a back up.

I especially love that this bouncer comes with a handle which makes it much easier and safer to move baby along with Mom as you go about your day. The bouncer itself is definitely roomy and very plush and comfy.

The bouncer also has its own soothing vibrating feature that you can use both in and out of the glider. Both the bouncer and the bassinet have their own canopies to shield the sun from their eyes while they are snoozing. No need to take one off to put it on the other.

With so many features, the portability, plus the space-saving advantage, the Graco Soothing System is sure to please both parents and baby.

I love that this system makes my life and my living space a little bit simpler without having to give up the fundamental perks that come having each of these baby items.
