Having three kids of my own, I can’t tell you how many times during a baby shower, I’d be opening gifts only to hear another mom say, “I wish they made that when I had kids.”  Every year there seems to be something cooler, trendier, and even more useful in the world of baby items. This high chair is without a doubt, the perfect fit for my family! My husband and I have a family of four children, ages 10, 6, 4, and 2) My two oldest sit quite comfortably in the chairs at our dining room table, but my two youngest still need a boost. Living in a townhouse, needless to say, we have a fairly small dining room. Adding a high chair to the mix makes our already crowded room even tighter and my youngest longs to be a “big boy” and sit at the table with the rest of the family.  We opted for two booster seats that allowed both our youngest boys to sit at the table. This was great for the space and family togetherness, but I quickly noticed my 2-year old was turning my nice wooden chair into a sticky, yucky mess after every meal. My chair was quickly becoming tarnished by juice stains and spaghetti sauce. Enter, The Graco Blossom.

My kids are now past the first stage of high chair use, but I could tell right away it would have been one that I would have loved for my children. The tray itself is made of very sturdy plastic, not the flimsy plastic I have used in the past. The seat cover itself is very easy to wipe down and keep clean – not to mention it is machine washable! The tray is easy to move on and off with one hand and even has three separate parts. This allows for an extra tray while one is being washed, or a second tray should you have one child in the high chair and another in the booster seat with tray.

For my youngest son, Levi, we choose to put him in the high back chair that can be pushed right up to the table. Three problems solved in one! He loves sitting right up to the table with the rest of the family, yet he still has the support that he would get in a traditional high chair, and I don’t have to worry about losing the extra space by setting up a high chair next to the table. One of my favorite parts of this new seating arrangement is no more destruction of my nice wooden chair.

I love that as my son Levi grows, this high chair grows with him right up to the final stage where he can use it as a youth chair. Though I may not use the booster seat on a regular basis for Levi, it’s small enough that I can take it with me to meals with friends and family outside my home. My older son still uses his trusty booster (he’s not quite ready to part with it) but had I been the proud owner of the Graco Blossom, it would have been a high chair that I would have been able to utilize for both of my boys at the same time. If you are considering what high chair to get for your child, I highly recommend the Graco Blossom which comes in several trendy colors and patterns.
