How We Got Our Cat to Stop Her Frequent Vomiting

Sharing is caring!

This is a sponsored post featuring Hartz Delectables Lickable Treats for cats. All opinions are my own.

We’ve had our cat, Abby, since before we even had children. We found her dumped at a local park when she was just a few weeks old. She was so young I needed to bottle feed her for a little while.

All of a sudden about 2 years ago, Abby started vomiting, and frequently. And, I don’t just mean hairballs. Yes, there were hairballs, but other times there was also just regurgitated cat food. It seemed like as time went on she was throwing up more and more frequently. I was at my whits end to make it stop. I changed her cat food, again and again, but it didn’t seem to change things.

FINALLY, I was able to solve the problem.

How did we get Abby to stop vomiting in the house? We put her on a totally wet food diet. No more hard, dry cat food for her. It was that simple. I wish I would have known sooner that this would solve her problem. It was such an easy fix!

Now that we solved her problem, we’ve been looking into different wet foods for Abby. We’ve been purchasing cat toys (catnip mice anyone?) from Hartz for years, but I recently discovered that they also offer a line of wet cat treats.  Delectables Lickable Treats, the first wet cat treat line, offers a number of cat-tastic flavors, including Bisque Kitten with Tuna, Bisque Kitten with Tuna & Chicken, Stew with Chicken & Veggies, Bisque with Tuna & Veggies and Chowder with Tuna & Veggies.

Delectables Lickable Treats are available in 1.4 ounce pouches with three unique and delicious textures including stews, bisques and chowders. They also come in multiple varieties including regular, life stage (for cats 10+ and 15+ years old and now for kittens up to 12 months old) and in 5 and 12-pack variety packs.

Hartz Delectables also offers a line of Squeeze Ups, a rich, thick, puree in a lickable tube so you can actually hand feed your cat! Abby is a bit picky and wasn’t sure about eating it from the tube, but she gobbled it up once I put it in her bowl!

Now that Abby doesn’t have a bowl of dry food available to her all day long, I find that she comes to me more frequently throughout the day asking for food. Hartz Delectables are the perfect size treats in between her breakfast and dinner meals. Abby can be a bit picky about her food, but she has loved every single flavor of Hartz Delectables that we’ve tried with her. In fact, I think she’s come to know what the packaging means and gets excited when she sees them!

If you haven’t yet, make sure you look for Hartz Delectrables Lickable Treats and Squeeze Ups for your feline friend!

My vet has also recommended this for my cat to help with weight control and urinary infections. We are just starting but he is a picky eater so we will have to see how it works.

I was super excited to read this at first... until I saw your solution. We have a cat that has this problem, but this cat REFUSES wet food. Always has. She also refuses cat treats. Weird cat, I know. Glad to hear you found a solution for your cat, though. :)

Oh no. :( That's a bummer! Have you tried lots of different brands?
