Why Get a Breast Pump?

To Go Back to Work: Many full-time breastfeeding moms also have a full-time job outside of the home. That means a breast pump is crucial! Luckily, I had been pumping fairly regularly and had plenty of stored milk for him. My mother-in-law was able to watch him for the day. Plus, I had my pump to take with me for the trip then as well.

For Date Night: Once you have children, date night, in my opinion, becomes even more important! Although we do a lot of in-dates, it’s still great to be able to get out of the house sometimes. Since I have a breast pump and have been pumping milk, when date night comes around, I always have plenty of extra milk for the baby.

For Eating Solids: Pumped breast milk is also a great way to add liquids to your purees and baby cereal when baby is ready to start eating solids. It’s much better than just adding water.

To Exclusively Pump: Some moms choose to exclusively pump and you DEFINITELY want a good, electric pump for that!
