Summer is on the way, are you worried about ways to keep the kids entertained? Times have really changed from when I was a child. (Ideas of items to include are: mystery novel, music CD, board game, a chair, spatula, pink onesie, etc.) They will have SO much fun doing this and you can have the prize for the team that wins or maybe do an ice cream sundae station for everyone!
• Go Tent Camping: We actually did this last year! My husband and I took our younger four kids to a nearby campground and spent one night. It was extra fun because we aligned schedules with a cousin so the kids had a friend there. If you’re feeling extra ambitious, have each child bring a friend or schedule a birthday party campout.
• Draw With Chalk: Create a chalk obstacle course, draw a huge hopscotch board to complete, doodle, or play ‘Judge’ where one person calls a letter and leaves while everyone else draws a picture that incorporates the letter. When everyone is ready, call the judge back. They choose their favorite picture and that artist is the new judge. No matter how you play with chalk, it’s hours of fun.
