Games Offer Great Benefits For Kids And Adults
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, we are a game loving family! I have seen so many benefits over the years of game playing. Games have helped to teach our kids how to take turns. They are really great with helping kids (and adults) learn how to win (and lose) graciously. <— This one may take some extra practice!
But one of my favorite things about games is they offer a great way to pass the time. Winter gets long in Minnesota so we play a ton of games throughout these colder months. At all my husband’s family’s gatherings, we play games. When meeting new people, games offer a safe way to hang out without the pressure of entertaining and making small talk.
Brand New Games From Winning Moves Games!
Over the years, we’ve stocked our game closet with some really great Winning Moves Games. One of my boys’ current favorites is actually Monopoly Mega. (You can find it over here on Amazon.) But I recently learned that Winning Moves Games has some new releases and just had to share them with you!
Fun, New Games From Winning Moves Games
Check out these fun new game options from Winning Moves Games! They are great, family fun options and also make wonderful gift ideas. The first 6 are brand new to the lineup and then we're sharing some classic favorites as well!
Monopoly Scrabble
Two of our family favorites have not combined for a fun new game!
Everyone knows about the classic game of Monopoly but now you can get ready for the totally unique game play of Monopoly Scrabble!
In place of rolling dice to move around the board, players build words and move ahead by their score. Build a word on a premium space and claim a Monopoly property.
The clever gameplay twists, along with custom Community Chest and Chance cards, keep things moving at a fast pace.
The winner is the player with the highest total of cash and property value when the last letter tile is played.
Rack-O Jr.
Rack-O Jr. is the first-ever junior version of the engaging family-favorite game called Rack-O!
The goal in Rack-O Jr. is to be the first player to fill your rack with cards, from lowest to highest. These number cards are color-coded to match the colors of the rainbow (and colors on the racks). Plus, there are special cards that add to the fun.
It's the perfect skill building game as kids get to practice: color recognition and matching, number sequencing, counting, concentration, and turn taking - all while having fun!
Yahtzee Words
I grew up playing the traditional game of Yahtzee as it was one of few games our family had. Now, I'm excited to introduce Yahtzee Words, the traditional Yahtzee gameplay game with a delightful difference.
Numbers are out and letters are in with Yahtzee Words. Players roll 7 dice and spell words with the letters they've rolled. Follow the score sheet and fill in the scoring blocks, just like in regular Yahtzee. Create words of different lengths, multiple words, roll "All Vowels" and more. Use all 7 letter dice to spell a sweet, 7 letter word and you'll score a Yahtzee!
Geared for ages 8 and up, this game is great for the entire family as you'll be brushing up on your vocabulary skills as you play!
Pretty Pretty Princess Card Game
Almost everyone is familiar with the classic 90s Pretty Pretty Princess Game. Now, there's a travel version: Pretty Pretty Princess Card Game.
Great for fun on the go, be the first player to collect a complete set of jewelry cards and the crown card to win.
Boggle Jr.
Geared for ages 3 and up, I'm really excited about Boggle Jr.! This delightful learning game for preschoolers grows with your child by introducing the ABC's with 2 levels of play.
Two different matching games encourage various skills and levels with fun, colorful pictures. The two-sided cards have 3-letter words on one side and 4-letter words on the other.
In Match It/Spell It children look at the picture and word, then they find the matching letters, using the Boggle Jr. letter cubes, to spell out the word. In Cover It children use the word shield to cover the word and then spell (from memory) without seeing the letters.
Twistables 2x2x2 Puzzle
Get ready to mix up this Twistables puzzle and then twist the puzzle back in order, as quickly as you can, so that each of the six sides shows a solid color.
The cool, contemporary colors and a fast functioning design make the Twistables 2x2x2 puzzle a joy to solve for all ages. Time yourself and challenge your family members to see who can solve the fastest.
Pass The Pigs
There's another game I recall from my childhood, and that's called Pass The Pigs! I remember my parents having this little game on hand for when company would call and they wanted a simple game to play.
Winning Moves Games is celebrating more than 40 years of Pig-tastic fun in a race to rack up points by rolling the pig-dice. But be careful not to ''Pig Out.'' This is the classic party game enjoyed by Oscar nominated star Jeff Bridges!
Pass The Pigs: Big Pigs
Just like the game above, but in JUMBO SIZE! Kids especially get a kick out of these larger than life pigs.
Candy Land Classic Edition
There are a few toddler and preschool games that every child should have and Candy Land is definitely one of them.
Celebrating over 65 years of family fun, this game includes all the classic pieces: bi-fold heavy-duty game board, 4 plastic gingerbread men movers, deck of 64 cards and instructions.
Pick a card, slide your guy up to that color, and race to candy house finish.
Clue Classic Edition
I still have fond memories of playing the classic game of Clue with my cousins as children. We'd head upstairs at my grandparents house and all squeeze between the beds to fit around the game board. It was so much fun!
So I love that you can still buy this classic game with the suspects you know, in the mansion you remember, with the weapons you love!
Clue Suspect Card Game
For Clue fun on the go, the Clue Suspect Card Game is the best choice. I love how it’s all the Intrigue of CLUE in just minutes.
We bring this game along on trips and to holiday functions as it travels so easy and game play is quick to learn.
Give Games As Gifts
Don’t forget, games also make a great gift! So consider surprising a loved one with a new game this Valentine’s Day and keep Winning Moves Games in mind for all the birthdays and holiday celebrations in your future.
