This flexible homeschooling through Study.com post is sponsored. As always, all opinions are my own.
Do you find the thought of homeschooling to be daunting? When I first began, I was overwhelmed with all the options. But I took a deep breath and dove right in. Over the years, I’ve learned lots of tips on how to successfully homeschool. But no matter how much I learn, I’m constantly keeping my eyes open to new opportunities and resources. Recently, I found out how we can earn an entire year of Science labs in just 2 days, which was a huge relief. And today, I want to share another great resource with you. And that is study.com.
Flexible Homeschooling Through Study.com
While not just for homeschool students, I’m going to put my focus on that aspect since we’re a homeschooling family. But keep in mind that Study.com courses are perfect for public schooled kids who need a little help or just want to learn more. Older students or adults who want to expand their horizons. And pretty much any age that just wants to learn.
Homeschool Curriculum
After talking with many homeschool parents, the Study.com team learned that many families are looking for an adaptable curriculum. Something that can be customized to each child’s schedule and specific interests. So they decided to offer a flexible homeschool curriculum. This means families will no longer have to research new curriculum providers every time they tackle a new subject or enter a new grade. The Study.com comprehensive course library includes subjects from English and Social Studies to Public Speaking and Nutrition! Plus so much more!
This online curriculum is skillfully crafted by the best teachers and is geared to help you meet your child’s education goals. Complete with video lessons, auto-graded assessments, and on-demand help from expert instructors, Study.com’s self-paced courses create the perfect custom learning path.
They offer courses that cover every subject taught in high school and junior college. These courses have been built from the ground up, leveraging data and technology to make the entire learning process simple and engaging for students.
Choosing Your Classes For Flexible Homeschooling Designed By You!
Because it’s easier to follow along with a video versus me just telling you how their website works, here’s a demo on searching for and choosing classes:
Monitoring Courses
I love how easy it is for me to monitor what courses my children are taking. I can see at a glance where they are in each course they are taking. The yellow bar gauges how much they have left in the course as well.
Finished Courses
Once a course is completed, it is automatically transferred into the completed courses category. Which makes staying organized a breeze.
We are also able to print out a certificate of completion for each course finished. Perfect for filing away in our record keeping.
What You All Receive With Study.com
Members receive access to Study.com’s full course catalog, including all grade levels and subjects. Bite-sized video lessons along with worksheets and transcripts support multiple learning styles. They also help break down difficult subjects like Math and Science. Automatically graded quizzes and assessments help parents track progress easily. Learners interested in college credit can use the comprehensive CLEP and DSST study guides.
Our Favorite Notes About Flexible Homeschooling Through Study.com
Throughout the year, the kids tend to get bored with school work. (As do most children.) When I introduced Study.com to the three older kids, they had a renewed joy in school work each day. They loved being able to experience subjects and classes of their choices. Having a large selection of electives was appealing too, especially for the older two kids.

Thank you for your review. I'm wondering if my two boys (8th and 6th grade could share one account on study.com if they choose different courses? Thank you!

Hi Catherine,
I had 3 of my kids sharing an account and just using different classes. (Technically, you sign up one though so any completion certificates would have that one child's name on it if you print. But if you don't need the certificates, it should work to share.)
