Let Me Introduce You To Finn + Emma – Darling, Heirloom Quality Baby Items

There’s just something extra special about baby items that are timeless. Sure, I’ve got my fair share of brightly colored, plastic baby products scattered around our home for baby Aram, but more and more I find myself drawn to heirloom quality baby products, like those found at Finn + Emma. Have you heard of Finn + Emma? I first discovered Finn and Emma at a trade show a few years ago and quickly fell in love with the brand. Finn + Emma was created in 2011 out of a desire to produce baby products that were sustainable as well as stylish.

Finn and Emma’s products are constructed with 100% organic cotton, eco-friendly dyes, and all natural wood.  And if that wasn’t already amazing enough, I was so pleased to find out that their garments and accessories are produced in fair trade settings that focus on social and economic independence for local people, women especially, working to provide for their families in a safe and fair environment. These are the types of companies that I love to get behind!

Finn and Emma Play Gyms

Finn + Emma is probably best known for their wooden play gyms. These sophisticated play gyms are made from all natural wood, available in a variety of colors, and allow you to quickly and easily change out the toys.  Play gyms come with four toys and then additional ones can be purchased. The great thing about the toys that come with the play gyms is that they can be removed from the play gym to take with you on the go. They are great entertainment when clipped to strollers, high chairs, and car seats.

There are 8 different toy/play gym combinations including the newest Macrame Play Gym that we have for Baby Aram. Neither the frame nor the toys contain BPA, VOC’s, heavy metal, or formaldehyde. It also has 2 height settings so that it can grow with your baby.

My little guy Aram is 6 months old and he loves his Finn + Emma play gym! He likes to both lay under it and look at the toys and, especially now he enjoys sitting up and playing with them. The wooden play gym is sturdy enough that he hasn’t pulled it over while playing with it. He really enjoys chewing on the toys and sometimes I will take them off of the gym so he can chew on them a little bit easier.

I love that natural, down-to-earth look of the macrame toys. The other toys from Finn + Emma are just as equally as stylish and so whimsical! We also own one of their wooden stroller toys (an Eagle that is currently on sale) and Fawn the deer, one of their adorable rattle buddies. Fawn the deer has become one of Aram’s favorite toys and we take it with us to church every week. It’s quiet enough not to disturb anyone and apparently great for chewing! Finn + Emma also offers Big Buddy stuffed animals, pacifier holders, mini rattles, blocks and teethers.

While I haven’t personally tried out any of the Finn + Emma gear (besides the great play gym), I have been drooling over their rocker and macrame swing for months! I also recently discovered that they also have a macrame bassinet! These would be the perfect addition to any nursery! Aram is beyond the bassinet stage now, but if we ever have any more babies, I’d love to own one of their macrame bassinets!

Finn + Emma clothing is 100% organic cotton, super soft, and so fun! Whether you go with a solid color for that classic look or choose one of the whimsical prints, your baby is sure to look adorable! One of the things that sets Finn + Emma apart from other brands is that they offer a large number of gender-neutral clothing choices. That’s nice because if you are saving these items to pass down to a future child or grandchild, they should work well for either gender.

They have footie sleepers, pajamas, bodysuits, pantsuits, pants, bibs, coveralls, and caps. If I could go back in time to my first baby, I would have purchased a gender-neutral footie sleeper from Finn + Emma and taken photos of each of my kids in the sleeper…and then one day, their kids too!
