One Bowl All Purpose Butter Biscuits {Recipe}

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • ¾ teaspoon sea salt
  • 5 tablespoons cold (not frozen) butter
  • 1 cup milk
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Spray a 12x18 pan with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
  3. In a food processor, place all ingredients EXCEPT milk.
  4. Add milk on top.
  5. Pulse several times (typically 5-7) to blend dough.
  6. Pour dough out onto a well floured counter top.
  7. Pat your dough into a rough rectangular shape about 1 inch thick.
  8. Fold in half and pat out again.
  9. Repeat one last time, ending with a 1 inch rectangular shape.
  10. Take a glass and cut biscuits. Make sure to NOT twist the glass! Just press down and pull straight up. You want to avoid crimping the edges.
  11. Place cut biscuits onto prepared pan.
  12. Cover with a towel and let rest for 20 to 30 minutes. (This step is optional if you're running short on time as they turn out similar both ways.)
  13. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  14. Serve hot along with butter, honey, or jam for toppings.
