For many of you living in the north, spring is just finally starting to peak its head. Although here in Minnesota, we had a bit of a blizzard on April 6th and 7th.
Thankfully, less than a week later, the sun was blazing and that snow is MELTING! All I can say is, it is about time! We have been cooped up for way too long with another frigid winter.
So along with welcoming the sunshine back, my boys are itching to get out and hit the trails!

It’s Bike Riding Time
One of my favorite hobbies growing up was riding a bike. So I love to now see my own children also embracing this hobby. Sadly, our oldest son outgrew his bicycle last year.
He did end up finding a beast of a bike in the shed that is probably 50+ years old. Even though it was way too big, he made it work last year. But this year, getting him a proper bike that he can safely ride was at the top of my list.
So I headed over to see what Dynacraft had to offer.

Dynacraft NEXT 24” Boys’ Gauntlet Bike Features
I measured Jack’s inseam and discovered the brand new Dynacraft NEXT 24” Boys’ Gauntlet Bike would be a great choice for him. Features of this eye-catching bike include:
- 18 Speed Bike
- 24″ Frame
- Dual-Suspension Steel Frame
- Shimano Rear Derailleur
- Front & Fear Alloy Linear Pull Brakes
- Shimano Handlebar Grip Shifters
- Sturdy Design
- Bold Red Color
Assembly
When purchasing in store, you typically have the option to pay a little extra for a pre-assembled bike. However, we didn’t find it too terribly hard to put the bike together ourselves.
The front tire needs to be put on, making sure the brakes are sitting correctly. The handlebar needs adjusting. Bike pedals have to be attached.
Seat needs to be slipped into place. And finally, the brakes need to be adjusted. Overall, nothing too hard and assembly should only take about 15 to 20 minutes.

Our Thoughts on the Dynacraft NEXT 24” Boys’ Gauntlet Bike
First off, I’ve never seen such an excited boy! He is so happy to finally have a bike that fits him again. And since red is his favorite color, the Gauntlet was a great option.

While we do head to the local paved trail for family bike rides, we actually live on a gravel road. Plus, our driveway is gravel.
And most of the land where we live is hilly and rough with rocks. So we needed a bike with tires and suspension that could handle a variety of terrain.

Overall, Jack said he loves the Dynacraft NEXT 24” Boys’ Gauntlet Bike. It provides a smooth ride and the multiple speeds are nice.
My husband thinks it’s a well made, sturdy bike as well. I like that it’s fairly affordable at just $99.

So our family is giving the Dynacraft NEXT 24″ Boys’ Gauntlet Bike two thumbs up!
