When expecting a child two of the most important items you research are car seats and strollers. It can be overwhelming with many options to choose from and you want to make sure you have made the best decision for your family and little one(s). I did more than my fair share of research. I wanted to make sure I had the safest, most reliable, yet easy to maneuver system. It makes all the trips to the store, parks, and busy malls less of an event!
If you’re a family on the go you probably want something convenient while also being compact with an easy snap’n go system that is still sturdy and safe for your little one. With a compact stroller you can navigate through a zoo, or travel through an airport, with much more ease. There is no bulkiness and you are less likely to accidentally bump it into something, or someone (oops!). You also want the car seat to fit well in your car because nothing is more important than knowing your little one is safe and sound when driving. So, I would like to take a minute to tell you about the Combi Travel System that has been great for our family!
I wanted to take my time with this review so I had real experience with the stroller and car seat and could provide you with a complete, thorough, and honest review. We have taken it on trip to the beach, the zoo, the mall, and many quick trips to the store.
My little 2 month old is very comfortable in her new Combi Shuttle infant car seat. Even though she is still so tiny I feel safe because of the Tru-Safe® side impact protection wings. She snuggles in there perfectly and the buckles fit around her well. The seat snaps easily and securely into the base. The extra anti-rebound bar also gives me another sense of security. I specifically liked the markers on the base so that you have a visual to know it is correctly installed in your vehicle for their weight.
When you’re ready to use the stroller the car seat snaps easily onto the attachments, then you’re ready to go. The stroller is smooth, light, and narrow. It glides through isles and busy streets well. If it’s sunny out the extended canopy gives your little one plenty of shade. For you parents, there is a convenient cup holder, storage pocket (which REALLY comes in handy!) and an extra large storage basket underneath. When your child is older you then have a removable child tray and cup holder attachment. I would suggest using it mostly on hard surfaces, we have taken it through the grass but it is smoothest on hard ground.
We also have a 4yr old who has taken a ride or two in the stroller and he was quite comfortable! He prefers to walk (or run) more these days, so we love having a zippy stroller for his sister to help us keep up with his fast little feet.
What made the stroller even more attractive to me is the one-handed self-standing fold. It folds quickly and becomes so compact that it takes up little space in the car (perfect for trips!). It is light too, so there’s no huffing and puffing when picking it up! To me, the ease of getting both the car seat and stroller in/out of the car are huge selling points.
Overall, I am really happy with this stroller. It’s price is manageable, it has many great features and looks sleek and modern. We have the grey color but it also comes in a nice red. I would definitely suggest checking this stroller out!
