Recipe – Step By Step
As always, follow along with these step-by-step instructions if you’d like to see the process in action. If starting with a store bought pizza crust, move on to the next step. Otherwise, start by following this delicious easy homemade pizza dough recipe first. Then preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Roll Out Pizza Dough
Once you have your pizza dough, roll it out to about 1/4 inch thick. (You don’t want it too thick or it’s hard to bake all the way through. Too thin will leave your pizza sticks exploding.) Once rolled out, slice into rectangle shapes, big enough to fit your toppings. The homemade pizza dough will give you about 16 rectangles while a store bought crust will give about 10.
Arrange Pepperoni Slices On Each Rectangle
Gently place 5 pepperoni slices on each rectangle slice.
Top With A Cheese Stick
Place 1 mozzarella stick on each pepperoni lined rectangle.
Roll Into Sticks
Gently roll each filled rectangle into a stick. Seal edges by carefully pinching.
Place On Greased Sheet Pan And Top With Butter
Line your pepperoni sticks on a greased sheet pan, leaving space between each one so they can bake easily. Then melt the butter and, using a basting brush, gently coat the top of each pepperoni stick with butter.
Season The Pepperoni Sticks
Sprinkle the Cheesy Pepperoni Sticks with a thin coating of garlic salt and dried parsley.
Bake
Place your sheet pans filled with Cheesy Pepperoni Sticks into your oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or till thoroughly cooked through and cheese is melting.
Remove From Oven
Once finished baking, remove from oven.
Serve Immediately
These are best served piping hot from the oven with some pizza sauce for dipping.
