Bin Busy is a new business venture by my cousin and me. All opinions are my own.
Do you ever miss the days when childhood meant spending hours outside, building forts, creating games, and using imagination instead of staring at screens? I know I sure do! I reminisce to my husband often about the simplicity of our childhoods compared to what our kids are experiencing. And while technology is now part of everyday life, many parents (including myself) are still searching for simple ways to encourage creative, screen-free fun at home. Does that sound like you?
That search is exactly what inspired Bin Busy.

Created by two moms with backgrounds in daycare and foster care; Bin Busy was designed with real families in mind. After years of caring for children of all ages, we saw firsthand how important hands-on play can be. It’s essential for learning, creativity, and independent thinking! We also know how difficult it can be to find activities that truly keep kids engaged without requiring tons of prep work from parents.
That’s why we created Bin Busy: Interactive activity bins that make screen-free play simple, fun, and stress-free!
What Is Bin Busy?
Bin Busy is a family and best-friend owned brand offering interactive busy bins for children ages 3–8+. Each themed bin is packed with hands-on activities designed to encourage imaginative play, skill development, and independent learning.
The best part? Everything comes ready to use right out of the box (aka: bin). We’ve done the work for you! No complicated setup, no crafting supplies to gather, and minimal cleanup afterward. Kids can jump straight into play while parents enjoy a few peaceful moments too.
Bin Busy has officially launched with three exciting themed bins already available, and more creative ideas are currently in development.
How And WHY Does Bin Busy Work So Well?
Bin Busy busy bins are made to be special. We actually suggest you do NOT put them out on the shelf as a free play item! Instead, you use them during dedicated time slots or activities. This keeps the bins and toys exciting, enticing, and extra fun.
Examples:
-Use at the end of the day when you need the kids occupied while making supper.
-For daycares, take them out for a dedicated time (like during the final 30 minutes/end of the day) while you’re waiting for parents to pick up but you don’t want the toy room to become a disaster.
-For homeschoolers, use while working with older siblings but then once homeschooling is complete, put the bins away.

The Discovering Colors Busy Bin introduces younger children to colors through engaging, hands-on activities. Kids can sort, match, and explore while naturally building important developmental skills. But don’t let that deter you from snagging one for older kids too. The Color Bin is our 11 year old daughter’s favorite!
This bin helps encourage:
- Color recognition
- Fine motor development

The Bin Busy Discovering Colors Bin a great option for quiet afternoons, learning time, or moments when kids need a creative activity they can enjoy on their own.

Hauling Fun Busy Bin
For kids who love trucks, scooping, building, and construction-style play, the Hauling Fun Busy Bin delivers plenty of interactive fun. And as you can see, it’s perfect for little Princesses too! I often find Ruby linking up the chain and pulling different toys around with the truck.
Children can:
- Explore imaginative construction play
- Practice coordination and motor skills
- Build creativity through open-ended activities
- Stay engaged longer with hands-on learning

This bin is especially helpful for energetic kids who enjoy tactile play and activities that keep their attention. We’ve found that kids LOVE using the hooks to create a chain link leash to pull the truck as well as other toys around. Our testers crafted this on their own and have spent HOURS doing this every time!
