Behind Little Adventures

Jenny and Heather are moms that found themselves in a predicament. With 15 children between them…they both had a lot of dress ups.  Their kids wanted to be able to PLAY, RUN, JUMP, EAT, CREATE, and IMAGINE in their dress ups and they never wanted to take them off. They wanted to wear them every day, all day!

The problem was:

1) Dress Ups were not made to be washed.

2) Dress Ups were often itchy scratchy and uncomfortable.

3) Dress Ups had buttons, snaps and ties which were frustrating to little fingers.

They knew there had to be a better way!  On a fall afternoon, in Jenny’s living room, the idea was created, DRESS UPS FOR EVERYDAY PLAY!  What a concept. Dress ups made comfortable and soft, easy to put on and take off, light weight for all day play and best of all machine washable!

When they began introducing the idea, they found they were not alone.  Little Adventures strong core message that “CHILDHOOD IS AN ADVENTURE!” is what continues to fuel their creativity.  They love seeing the joy in kids that are free to play, to explore and free to dream!

Best Princess Dresses For Disney

I’ve been purchasing dress up costumes and dresses from Little Adventures for years! They have been some of the best I’ve found as they are truly comfortable for kiddos to wear. While many of the typical ‘costumes’ are scratchy, rough, and uncomfortable; the costumes and dress ups you’ll find at Little Adventures are the exact opposite! So much so, that kids never want to take them off! Over the years, they’ve also expanded their lineup from just costumes to now offering twirl dresses, pajamas, matching doll costumes, and more.

For our upcoming trip, Lucy selected a variety of pieces to take with for our Disney World park adventures and she’s thrilled to share them with you today.

Cinderella Dress Up

For our Magic Kingdom day, it only made sense to Lucy to dress up as Cinderella! So she chose the Cinderella Dress, Cinderella Accessory Set, and Doll Dress Cinderella. This dress will be perfect as we meander through the castle and out to the carousel! And seriously, doesn’t the choker and headband accessory set just add the perfect finishing touches!?

Yellow Beauty Dress Up

This sweet yellow dress reminds me of the beast’s true love and will be another fun choice for one of our park days.

Mermaid Twirl Dress Up

The twirl dresses over at Little Adventures are a FAVORITE of ours as they are perfect for Disney bounding or just wearing every day. (Lucy has worn hers to church, the store, and anywhere else we happen to need to go.) They twirl and flutter about beautifully and are a fun choice for a little girl who wants to dress up but not wear a complete costume.

This Mermaid Twirl Dress has gorgeous coloring and the scales design is eye-catching and slightly ‘shimmery’ as it’s twirled about. Don’t forget to grab the matching doll twirl dress too!

Yellow Beauty Nightgown With Robe

Every little princess needs their beauty rest and this pretty yellow gown makes sleeping extra dreamy! Lucy loves this pajama set as it’s comfortable and soft while making her feel like a princess.
