My husband and I aren’t much of ones to go “out” any more. We prefer to just hang out at someone’s house instead. Not only is that a more affordable option, it’s a lot of fun. Sometimes we just socialize. But more often, we play games! We have had the best time with family and friends this way. There’s been so much laughter too. So I partnered with Winning Moves Games to share some of the best group games for adults with you!
Best Group Games For Adults
Now, even though most of these games are for ages: older kids/teens through adult. We do actually play with our younger kids too during family game nights. (So I just wanted to let you know that they really work well for a variety of ages.) But because I’m always on the hunt for the best group games for adults, I wanted to share some of our favorites. These are games that are great for adult game nights!
Clue Master Detective
I’ve been a Clue fanatic ever since about 2nd grade. So this newer version, Clue Master Detective immediately landed on my radar. This super-sized version of Clue offers a bigger board, more rooms, more weapons, and more suspects! So now is the time to get your sharp detective skills polished up so you can solve this ever-changing mystery. A faithful reproduction based off the original but even more fun! This game does not disappoint!
Deluxe Pente
This classic game was first introduced back in the 1970s and still continues to draw people into the contemporary strategy play. The object of Deluxe Pente is quite simple. The first player to place 5 stones in a row or to capture 5 pairs of opposing stones is the winner. It’s a fast moving game of skill that keeps players hopping.
If you’re unfamiliar with this game, Pente resembles checkers in ease of learning and simplicity. Yet, it plays like a sophisticated tic-tac-toe. And, it approaches chess in its tactical depth and wonderful variety. There are multiple variations of the game for greater challenge and complexity. Simply put, it’s an addicting game that you will love!
Monopoly Advance To Boardwalk
Pretty much everyone grew up playing Monopoly but now there’s a new board in town! Monopoly Advance To Boardwalk is the first ever Monopoly “spin off” that brings a whole new way to play. In this version, players compete to build multi-level, high-rise hotels along the historic seaside boardwalk.
Strategic play is a must! Cunning moves, the role of the dice, and good luck of fortune cards can help you do it all! Become the top builder and thwart your opponents for boardwalk domination. In the end, the player who accumulates the most valuable Portfolio of properties becomes the BIG winner!
Deluxe Pit
An oldie but goody, Deluxe Pit is a fast action, card trading, and fun filled game. A round can take just mere seconds or minutes while an entire game can actually last awhile.
Trade opens and all the players try to trade commodities at the same time. It’s loud, exciting, and downright action packed. This high energy game is extremely addicting. Be the first to collect all of one commodity and ring the bell to grab the points that round. Just don’t be left holding the bear!
Classic Aggravation
Another classic for the win. Players race around this board trying to get from base camp to home. Use the short-cut to zip on ahead of opponents but be careful! There are no safe spaces where player’s marbles can’t be captured.
Called many different names throughout the years, it’s a simple but fun game you’ll keep coming back to. The Aggravation name comes from the rule that some moves can only be done on exact rolls (such as exiting the base, entering the home, exiting the center of the board, etc.). But also that direct count landing on another player means you get to send them all the way back to their start!
Clue Classic Edition
And finally, another classic that you can’t go wrong with. Clue Classic Edition features all the suspects you know, inside the famous mansion you remember, and with the weapons you love. It’s a slightly updated style with newer graphics on the cards. But it’s the game you grew up with that will bring back great memories!
