Tips For A Successful Strawberry Fluff Salad
- First off, I suggest using the regular cool whip or whipped topping. (Avoid lite or fat free versions.) NOTE: Off brand cool whips have been successful for me but I’ve always used the ‘regular’ and not lite or fat free versions.
- Make sure to follow the instructions and timeline. Cooling and refrigerating times are definitely important with fluff salads.
- To avoid a watery fluff salad, be sure your strawberries are completely dry before adding them in. Either wash ahead of time so they can fully air dry or pat dry with a paper towel until all water is absorbed.
There Are So Many Reasons Why You’ll Love This Strawberry Cream Salad Recipe
I was first introduced to fluff salads a couple years ago and there are just so many reasons why people love a good fluff salad.
- Fresh, Fruity Flavors: There’s truly something about this flavor profile and combination of strawberry and vanilla that packs a punch.
- An Instant Classic: Strawberry Fluff is a fun, light side dish option that people just can’t get enough of. I recently served it up at my boys’ birthday party and I saw at least 10 people go back for seconds (or more!) So whether you’re bring to a potluck, picnic, or some other occasion, this salad is sure to please adults and children alike.
- Easy To Eat For All Ages: The consistency of this side dish makes it easy to eat with a fork. Unlike plain jello that can be messy and slide all over your plate, this Strawberry Fluff is thick but light. It’s easy to scoop and a simple addition to any meal.
- Can Be Adapted For Taste: As I mentioned above, there are many variations for Fluff Salads. My first experience was actually with a blueberry fluff salad. You can also add or subtract ingredients to your preference as well. The diced strawberries can be optional. If you love mini marshmallows, add the whole bag!
FAQ’s For Making Strawberry Jello Fluff Salad
What if I don’t have instant vanilla pudding?
If you’re in the middle of making your fluff salad and realized you’re out of instant vanilla pudding mix, you can substitute with 1 cup of heavy cream and 1/4 cup sugar instead. Just whip the cream and sugar together until soft peaks form. Then fold into your salad. (You can also had a little vanilla flavoring if you’d like.)
Can I use a different flavor jello mix?
YES! You can absolutely substitute and experiment with this recipe. Try an instant lemon jello mix or instant raspberry jello mix instead.
