Baby Jogger Summit X3 Jogging Stroller Review

I received a Summit X3 Jogging Stroller in exchange for this review. As always, all opinions are my own.

My husband and I love to bring our children places. Our 4-year-old daughter does well at staying near us and loves to walk around. Our 15-month-old son, on the other hand, loves to run in every direction and explore. That is why we need to have a good quality stroller with us to keep him safe. Baby Jogger’s Summit X3 Jogging Stroller was the perfect fit for our needs.

Assembling The Jogging Stroller

Assembling the Summit X3 Jogging Stroller could not have been easier. In the box, you will find the stroller, wheels, canopy, and instructions. The three wheels snap into place and the canopy attaches by two buttons and velcro. That’s it! It took me less than 2 minutes to assemble.

Size Of The Jogging Stroller

In the past, I have had difficulty finding a stroller that could accommodate the height of my 4-year-old daughter, who is 43 inches tall. Most of the time my daughter wants to walk rather than ride, but occasionally her little legs do get tired. I love that this stroller is large enough for my daughter or my 18-month-old son to sit in.

The canopy is the perfect size for this stroller. When my son is in the stroller, the canopy comes up and over him far enough that no matter which direction we’re walking, the sun is out of his face.

Storage & Accessibility

I like to make sure that I have everything we need when traveling with our children so I have a backpack diaper bag that is filled to the max. The Summit X3 Jogging Stroller fits my plump, full diaper bag and I am able to access it with ease. I think every parent has had that moment of trying to shove their diaper bag underneath a stroller and then struggling to get it back out again. What a pain! You will not have this problem with this stroller.

Pushing The Jogging Stroller

The tires on this stroller are actual tires. They are not plastic. I previously thought it would be nice to not have to worry about having a flat tire and that plastic wheels were the way to go. Though some may love a smaller plastic wheel, I prefer a legit tire, especially when pushing a stroller on a gravel trail or through the grass. The tires on this Baby Jogger Jogging Stroller are a good size which makes pushing the stroller on any type of surface, a breeze.

Care & Maintenance

You can hand wash your stroller’s seat in cold water with a mild detergent. Be sure to remove the metal frame and PE boards from the seat before washing. Do not use solvents, caustic, or abrasive cleaning materials. To minimize shrinkage, simply reattach the seat to the frame to dry. Do not press, iron, dry clean, tumble dry or wring the fabric. If the seat covers need to be replaced, only use parts from a Baby Jogger Authorized Dealer. They are the only ones that are guaranteed to have been safety tested and designed to fit this seat.

Plastic/Metal Parts can be wiped clean by using mild soap and warm water. You must not remove, dismantle or alter any part of the seat folding mechanism or brakes. The wheels can be cleaned using a damp cloth. They will need to be dried completely with a soft towel or cloth.

A quality stroller that pushes well on any surface is a must for this mama and I’m happy to report the Baby Jogger Summit X3 Jogging Stroller glides smoothly over tar, gravel, and grass. The oversized storage basket beneath the seat fits a large-size diaper to make sure you don’t have to leave anything behind that you may need. I would highly recommend this jogging stroller to my family and friends. It is the highest-quality jogging stroller I have owned so far.
