I'm a city girl turned country and have been writing for Thrifty Nifty Mommy, one of the most popular family lifestyle sites, for over six years now. I love blogging about delicious recipes (I've even shared my award winning Chili Recipe with you!), family travel -especially big family adventures-, parenting, reviews on products that we've tried out, tips and tricks, homeschooling, fashion, and sometimes a little humor in between -- anyone love a great meme? We live on our family dairy farm in Minnesota and I'm always happy to commiserate on the weather and pesky mosquitoes as well as share about the good things this state offers.

As a mom to six bio kiddos, who used to have a home daycare as well as be a foster parent, there's a lot of 'been there, done that' and I love sharing what I've learned from those experiences.

In my 'spare' time, I enjoy hanging out with my husband, going on a quick lunch date, playing board games as a family, and spending time with extended relatives and friends.
