Every day our bodies are subject to numerous toxins. They come from the world around us, including the food we eat. I know that personally, I am a huge sweets eater and when I get a craving it is difficult to ignore it and after indulging, I often find that I am regretful and just don’t feel 100% satisfied. Recently, I was offered the chance to try out a cleanse from Aster Elliott. Today, I wanted to share my review of the Aster Elliot Cleanse.
About Aster Elliott
Aster Elliott offers science-based detox-cleanse programs. Aster Elliott cleanses are all natural, effective, slimming and energizing. They have a cleanse for everyone! All of their products are FREE of parabens, SLS, wheat, yeast, gluten, soy, eggs, artificial colors, sugar, flavors or preservatives.
An Aster Elliott detox/cleanse is not about starving yourself or skipping meals. All of their cleanse programs follow a daily schedule of two or three detox meal replacements, wholesome food meal plan for lunch, vitamins to nourish and revitalize, supplements to assist and support the cleansing process, and detoxifying face and/or body skincare treatments.
Aster Elliott offers seven different detox-cleanse programs. Some are total body cleanses while others target systems; all unique in their own way. They make it very easy to follow; each program comes with its own step-by-step pamphlet that instructs you from the time you wake up in the morning until the time you go to sleep at night.
The Aster Elliott detox support team is available by email 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, should you have any questions before during or after your cleanse.
The cleanse I chose was the Candi Cleanse. Basically, it’s a 3-day detox meant to rid your body of the toxins from sugar and reduce or eliminate your cravings for them. Unfortunately, due to the stomach flu rampantly making its way through our house, I wasn’t able to complete this myself and my husband willingly took it on. The detox consists of a high-protein/high-nutrition diet that includes meal replacement shakes (just add raw, natural almond butter) at breakfast & lunch and nutritional snack bars (dazzle bars). Additionally, throughout the day you take multiple dietary supplements which aid your digestion, hormonal balance, stress reduction and numerous other health benefits. You are given the option to choose your lunch from three options, two of which are from Chipotle, which are full of fresh vegetables and lean proteins.
As for my husband’s experience, he said that Day #1 was definitely the hardest. Since the cleanse cuts out all caffeine, he found that craving to be the strongest. By day #2, he said that he was starting to feel better and that he could tell that his body was enjoying the boost of nutrients and lack of toxins. He continued his normal exercise routine of running 45 minutes a day, while doing the cleanse and didn’t notice a decrease in energy at all. Day #3 was the final day, and it was a real challenge as we had a special dinner at my in-laws that night. My husband was able to stick with the cleanse and easily ignore the little bit of cravings he had during the dinner and dessert. At the end of his cleanse, he said that he felt very healthy and could tell that his body was much happier with him! Since the cleanse, he has had greatly reduced cravings for sweets and caffeine and is making healthier meal and snack choices! Overall, I think the cleanse really helped him and would be beneficial for anyone looking to cut down or cut out sugar and caffeine.
