If you’ve been following Thrifty Nifty Mommy for some time now, you already know that I’m not knew to the mommy role. We actually have six children now after adding Ruby last year. So between having six bio children, doing home daycare for five years, and then also adding fostering to the list; we’ve tried out more than our fair share of baby gear. One thing that has always alluded me, though, was ‘the perfect high chair’.

I’ve had a couple that I liked well enough and also a couple that I absolutely detested, but through it all I struggled to find that quintessential chair – till now! I think I’ve FINALLY found a company that nailed it and am super excited to partner with Abiie for this review and giveaway so I can share it with you all!

What Is The Beyond Junior Y Chair?

Why I Love The Beyond Junior Y

No Food Trap Here!

One of my biggest beefs with most high chairs on the market is the fact that the tray doesn’t come close enough to baby and just ends up being a giant food trap. Thankfully, the team behind the design of the Beyond Junior Y knew better. Even though there are only two tray settings, they are absolutely perfect as the tightest one brings the tray to a comfortably close place that helps dropped food bounce back onto the tray and not on baby’s lap.

Easy To Use Tray

The tray is easy to slide on and off but I think it’s important to mention it does require two hands. Each side of the tray features a little button. Just push them both simultaneously to be able to slide the tray in, out, or completely off. As mentioned above, there are two different tray settings but I am so happy that the closest one is perfect for getting the tray close to baby!

Ergonomic Sitting Position With Easy Adjustability

I really like the overall adjustability of this chair and the footrest as it helps provide babies with a better sitting position. Having a footrest that is perfectly aligned for Ruby’s comfort instead of having her feet dangle is much better for her.

Secure Buckle

The restraint system can be adjusted to create a 5-point or 3-point harness, keeping baby secure and comfortable. The button to release the lock on the straps is able to be done one-handed.

Slip Bar

The Beyond Junior Y is designed with a feature I lovingly call the ‘slip bar’. This helps to keep a child from slipping or slouching their way out of the chair if you forget to buckle them in.

Use At The Table Or As A Freestanding High Chair

I love the flexibility this high chair offers! By removing the tray, we are able to easily pull the seat up to our table where Ruby joins us for meal times or when we are all just hanging out around the table.

We definitely still use the tray at times too but having the option to utilize the Beyond Junior Y without is nice.

Removable Plastic Tray Insert

While the entire tray can be taken off the Beyond Junior Y, it also features a plastic removable tray cover too. This makes for easier for cleanup and the plastic tray is even dishwasher safe.

Easy To Clean Chair

The entire design of Abiie’s Beyond Junior Y Chair is created for easy cleaning as it features several easy access points make it so parents can effortlessly clean up daily food crumbs and messes left on the seat. The water resistant cushion also adds comfort, style, and usability to this chair.
