The First Years Sure Comfort Deluxe Newborn to Toddler Tub with Sling Review

Have you ever tried to bathe a baby in the kitchen sink? I did this once when Maggie was a few months old. We were at my in-laws’ house and she really needed a bath, but they didn’t have a baby bathtub. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be! Little babies are awfully slippery when wet! That’s why I’m happy to own The First Years Sure Comfort Deluxe Newborn to Toddler Tub with Sling! It’s one of the pieces of baby gear that I don’t want to be without!

Some people use these bathtubs at their kitchen sink. They have little notches on the bottom side that help the bathtub to sit on your kitchen sink.  I usually put our bathtub in our main bathtub instead. I do this because I close the bathroom door and turn on a little space heater so it’s nice and warm in there for Jacob. He hates to be cold, and doing this helps him to be able to enjoy his bath experience!

I love the newborn mesh sling that is included with this bathtub. The sling makes it so easy to clean a newborn while their head and body are fully supported–leaving you with both hands free for bathing. These pictures are from Jacob’s very first bath–Maggie cried the whole time for her first bath, but as you can see, Jacob loved his first bath! He only cried when I took him out!

Once baby gets a little bigger, one side of tub is slanted for a small baby who can not sit on their own yet, and the other side is for use with your baby once he or she is able to sit on their own. This is Maggie at about 6 weeks in her pink Sure Comfort Deluxe Tub.
